This guy talked down to my wife when she asked for a second opinion on a life changing procedure he wanted to perform on her father. Her father ended up going to a university, got a back brace, and is fully recovered without any surgery. Glad I had some experience with these situations or his life could be very different.

This dr did a neck surgery for my family member last year 2022 for the c2,-c5 and she still isn't walking. I wouldn't ever recommend this guy.

Did absolutely nothing for a compression fracture in my back. Said it would heal fine. My back is ruined and I find out there were treatments available if done right away. Now I can’t do much of anything and live with terrible pain daily. Life changing pain. Went to him a second time and he blew me off.

Dr. Troffkin was attentive and thorough snd took time to answer our questions. Was very satisfied with the surgery and the visits since then. Would highly recommend him.

Dec. 17,2020;I was lifeflighted to Deaconess Gateway where Dr. Troffkin was on call and saved my life. For that I will be forever grateful. I had an SAH because of that I had severe vasospasms which Dr. Troffkin fixed I developed hydrocephalus

If no stars was an option, that would’ve been my choice. This man was supposed to remove a tumor and ended up permanently damaging my left eye. I’m now blind in my left eye, and after surgery he said my eye would go back to normal in a year. That was 17 years ago. It never healed.

My wife diagnosed wit a golf ball size tumor In bottom center of brain ...that was a Monday saw him Tuesday ordered additional test Wednesday and had MAJOR surgery that Friday ...... that was his call based on what he observed.... how could you ask for more.... yes blunt , condescending and arrogant but he lived every waking moment reviewing every aspect of a solution and surgical procedures he would employ...... he saved a 40+ young womans’ life and made it a priority......
