List of John Brazzell Md's Reviews
I am a 64 year old female. I have not had many family doctors but, by far, this man is the best. He is a very intelligent man with so much patience. He never tries to rush you through. He works on a problem until he finds the answer. I could not ask for a kinder or better Dr.
Very good experience.
I usually don't write reviews actually this is my first on a doctor and I signed up to this website just to warn the world about Dr. John Brazzell. I have been personally involved in healthcare for 5 years now. I have went to probably 10 different family doctors in my life and Dr. Brazzell is by far the worst and there is no wonder he is rated Paducah's 32nd best doctor because he sucks. Great I got on here and realized I am not the only one and my observations were correct. Actually I think he is the worst doctor I have ever been to in my entire life. Today I was just talking to him and he told me to stop arguing with him when really I was just discussing some issues. He would not listen to me it was if what he said was the bible. It made me mad because even thought he might not agree with me he could at least listen to me and hear me out. He got up and started to leave the room right in the middle of my sentence which was very rude and I could not believe that he did that to me. He is a very conceited and self centered man and a very bad person in general I think. I was curious about him and I did some reasearch on him and found out that he had been sanctioned by the state of Kentucky for showing up to work drunk about 4 years ago at Lourdes Hospital. He has other peoples lives in his hand and he wants to show up to work drunk obviously he does not think to much about his patients or himself. Actions speak louder than words and you judge a tree by its fruit. How can he tell other people to do the right thing and he shows up to work drunk. I think this man should loose his license and be fired!
My son was diagnosed with a viral eye infection and prescribed some very expensive meds. He was instructed to see his eye doc the following day-- when he saw the eye doc the next day-- he was diagnosed with a Bacterial infection and told to throw the viral meds away!!!! What a waste of $100!
I think this "Dr." needs to be reviewed! He was sending my 3 yr old home with a cold, and finally a respiratory nurse come down to check my son out, & dr brazzel made the statement to her " I dont have the best of hearing in my old age and i don't hear anything in his lungs, would you listen to them" she did, with a response of " OH, yes there is definetly something there!" then he told me my sons chest xrays were normal. The very next morning another Dr took a look at the exact sAme xrays and his lungs were filled with pnumonia, & we were in the hospital for a week with what dr brazzell called a cold!!! If he can't read xrays or hear through a stethascope then he. Needs to retire! I dont know how to go about having his mans medical license reviewed, but someone definetly needs to!!!!
Dr. Brazzel, you flat out suck. You really think that you are somethin' else because of that Dr. in front of your name. Well guess what, if you were as awesome as you think you are then why the hell are you in Paducah? You would be nothing if you were anywhere else in the world. You had to come to Paducah KY to be the big wig probably because you were such a loser from wherever it is you're really from. So just keep walking thru the ER in your white coat making sure that you don't look any of us commoners in the eye for fear that we might ask you a Dr. question. It really shows off who you are. Don't look me in the eye either cause I can see right thru it. The reason I am writing this is because Dr. Brazzel wouldn't give me pain medication becuase he thought I was faking a back injury. Well guess what. IT WAS BROKEN!!! But you would rather make an effort to stop prescription drug abuse than help someone who desperately needed it. Wow, you really got the job done.
i went into the er to find out was wrong with me and dr brazzel did every test under the sun INCLUDING a lumbar puncture that after a little bit i found out it wasnt even needed....i didnt have meningitis...i had a sinus infection.so this man punctured my spine for no reason. i ended up having spinal fluid leak out and in terrible pain for 2 wks cause the next day when i came bk cause i could not WALK because of the pain in my back i get my discharge papers and he diagnosed me w/ a headache...that never even came out of my mouth,i was then for 2 wks going bk and forth between hospitals trying to get the blood patch i needed. if it wasnt for him i would not of been in the excruciating pain that i was in.he is a TERRIBLE DR and i dont understand how he still has his license.
AWFUL!!! Very rude, told me I was just an over worried mother. Did a chest x-ray just to look like he was doing somthing. Left my very sick toddler waiting 4 hrs. said she had upper res. infection. Two hrs later her own Dr. found out she was having seizures, Dr. brazzel would of known this if he would have listened to me! My child was sent to Vanderbilt childrens hospital. God only knows what would of happened to her if i wouldn't of got another opinon! If you go to Lourdes ER and he's on call request another Dr. or go to Western Baptist!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
