My wife had a hip replacement that left her with a horrible infection. 4 hip replacements later that all failed within a month of surgery. The last one was a custom implant he claimed was the best and should last this time. (As if the first one should should have been the only one.) 2 weeks after the surgery it failed. The screws came loose. He did not even have the integrity to walk to the room she was in and expain. He just wiped his hands of her and we were told to find another doctor.

Dr Peterson’s excellent surgical skills result in a successful recovery. He performed my hip replacement and restored me back to a pain free active life. He is a caring compassionate Doctor that I happily recommend for your hip and knee issues

Dr. Peterson performed bilateral knee replacements on me last year. (2020) I was 50 yo and had a very severe limp and struggled to walk any distance without feeling like I would trip and fall. I lived with severe pain for years that not only affected my quality of life but also interfered with my ability to sleep. Dr. Peterson was kind & understanding the first time I met him and assured me he could help me regain my mobility. I am a year out from my surgeries & I am so happy with my knee replacements. No more pain & I can walk again, with no issues. I feel like my quality of life has drastically improved. I can't say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Peterson for how he has helped me. Hospital staff all told me at the time of my surgeries that I had picked the best surgeon & one staff person even said Dr. Peterson would be doing her hip replacement in a couple of months. There is no need to go to KC when we have a top notch surgeon right here in St. Joe. I highly recommend him!

One year later..... One year ago I had double hip replacement at the same time! Dr Peterson has changed my life. A year ago I walked with extreme pain, pain medications did nothing to stop the pain. Dr Peterson did both hips at the same time. I was up and walking the next day! One year later I feel like I am 21 again thanks to the hip replacement. I am so thankful to Dr Peterson and his wonderful staff for getting my life back.

Dr. Peterson does not even deserve the one star that I gave him. He is not competent to do a hip replacement. He schedule me an appointment for hip surgery twice and both times backed out. I even passed all my stress test and did everything I was supposed to do and he still backed out so I don't know if he doesn't trust his self or if he doesn't have the experience but it made me kind of nervous and thankful that he backed out of the surgery.

I had to walk with a cane for over a year and had been to 4 previous doctors who had done nothing to help me get well. I got a new primary doctor in Cameron who referred me to Dr Peterson in St Joe. He said I needed to get a new right hip, and that I would walk without a cane after the surgery. I am most ecstatic to report he was absolutely correct! I used a walker for a few days and a cane for a few more. My surgery was on Sept 8, and I was walking on my own 2 weeks later. I felt well enough to go and Adopt a new dog on Sept 26, to replace my old dog that had passed in July. LIfe is very Good thanks to my new right hip and Dr. Peterson! Thank YOu very Much!

Knowledgeable, personable, excellent surgeon. Corrected screw-ups of first surgeon on total hip replacement of both hips.

This was a great experience. Compared to the other hip replacement I had many years ago, this was a breeze. Went home the same day as the surgery and because of freezing rain, was not able to use our outside ramp to get into the house. However, was able to manage the 2 steps into our house even with a new hip. 3 weeks later, was walking without any other assistance like a walker or cane. I continue to get stronger everyday without pain. No one wants to have parts replaced, but if you need it, this is an excellent place to get it done!

Dr. Peterson decided what was wrong when he first came in and would not listen to anything I had to say and did not answer any of my questions. He couldn’t get out of the exam room fast enough. He certainly didn’t care about me or my knees and made that very clear very quickly. It was a waste of my time and clearly a waste of his.
