Dr. Cherry is an outstanding doctor - if only I could get in to see him when I need to. His office staff is rude and condescending, and treat you as if you are a burden any time a request is made for medical records, prescription changes, or if you have an insurance appeal. When you call to speak to a nurse, you always get voicemail. When the nurse calls back, you’re always told to go to Quick Care, even if it’s not something that can be addressed there. I’ve chosen to leave Dr Cherry’s practice and find a new doctor because of his staff. It’s a shame he can’t find staff that provides the same level of care and concern that he does.
Dr. Brent Cherry is great when you can actually get in to see him. Once you see him, he takes time to answer all your questions and is generally concerned about your health. Unfortunately, I've had to wait weeks/months to get an appointment with him. Other times I've arrived for my appointment with Dr. Cherry, and I ended up seeing his nurse practitioner instead. His staff is very very slow to return patient calls and and are reluctant to go out of their way to assist patients with requests, prescriptions, etc. I would love to continue seeing Dr. Cherry, but I've decided to look for another doctor were I can get an appointment win a more timely manner and with staff that treat patients with care and respect.
Did not take time to review my blood work and signed off on it as ok'. Things were not great as there was numerous issues that needed addressing. My right thyroid was full of growths with abnormal surgery requiring surgery. I had became very hyperthyroid after being put to sleep for surgery. My heart was under tremendous stress as a result of this. Even after three weeks he had still not checked the blood work. It had lots of things in my blood elevated. I contacted their office two days after being told every thing was fine. If you want someone who is going to take time to follow up correctly find someone else to see. When getting the copy of the blood work I could clearly see what the problem was and I quit some medicine that was making it worse. I was also told later EKG's showed a had a cardiac issue at some point but once again was told nothing by this doctor and later these EKGs were requested and reviewed and they all showed that there was that cardiac issue on all of them.
Dr Cherry takes his time and listens to you. He explains things you need to know. He doesn't over prescribe meds. He doesn't keep you waiting either. His office staff could benefit from a class on personality and kindness BUT for a good Dr you can deal with them. Been seeing him since he's been in practice and I'm not leaving anytime soon unless HE changes.
Dr. Cherry is a wonderful doctor and takes the time to listen to your health problems and help develop a customized treatment plan that will work for you. With that said, I have found the office staff to be extremely slow to respond and lacking in customer service skills - to the point of being rude. There have been several times I have called and left multiple messages regarding health issues that have gone unanswered. My pharmacy has had to call the office for prescription information that was left off the order, and it took almost a week to get a response from the office. The same is true for records requests. My specialists have requested records and test results from Dr. Cherry's office that has taken an extremely long time to receive. You are rarely able to speak with a person if you call in to the office, and if you need to speak with a nurse, you will always get voicemail. Sometimes you do not get a call back, and if you do, it may take a couple of days.
Dr Cherry is a great doctor.
Office staff can be very rude, especially when scheduling. I do NOT recommend this office. It's unfortunate because Dr. Cherry seems like a good physician.
Went to his Quick Care because they told me they were in my plan. They billed me as a new patient under Dr Cherry even though I saw the nurse practitioner in Quickcare. So instead of a $25 copay it cost me 101.00. I called and they said that I should have called my insurance and that a receptionist can't know all plans. Then u should not have told me it was covered!!!! Feel this is bate and switch ! I u will lie to a patient you can't be trusted in anything.
Dr Brent Cherry is extremely knowledgeable medical doctor. He takes the time to speak with you about your symptoms and to ask you the right questions and then prescribe the right medicine. I have been a patient for 1 1/2 years since moving down here.
Dr. Brent Cherry is a wonderful doctor however his office staff is hateful and extremely rude. Dr. Cherry's office staff treats the patients like they are a burden for them to deal with. If you try to speak with the doctor about the staff you are not allowed to, you are sent to the office manager who is just as rude as the front office staff. I know several patients have left the practice because of the office staff. Dr. Brent is wonderful I can not say the same for his staff.
This is in response to the person above. First, if you feel confident enough to bash a great doctor please, include your name. Doctors are human and make mistakes just like everyone else. He IS professional, caring, and great at what he does.
The worst doctor I have ever had I should of got another doctor longtime ago I just didn't know how to choose one. He's one those doctors that don't care what you have to say and only acts like he wants you out so he can get to the next patient to treat the same. He tried to write me a perscription for a problem I was having when he already did it the last visit and I had to tell him that we already tried that. This happened on 2 differant occasions for differant problems I was having. He acts like he don't know what's going on with you. And I can go on and on with this guy. Bad news that's all I can say. I don't understand why he can ever get a good review unless he wrote them himself or people with simple health problems wrote them.
