Upended a bottle of Afrin and squirted a megsdose down my throat because he heard me telling the surgery center I have trouble breathing through my nose. If he had deliberately wanted to give me a detached retina on that would have been the way to do it. I also woke up during surgery, probably because of the Afrin megadose. After I had surgery in Lexington to try and reattach my retina he insisted that I travel from Somerset to London even though I was supposed to remain prone. I didn't even see him, just some staff that obviously didn't even know what they were doing.doingOne told me that I had glaucoma, then another said I didn't . Never saw Huffman again, just some UK students who tried to talk me into another procedure. Yeah, right. I wouldn't let him touch me again if he was the last doctor on earth. My eye is ruined. I have constant pain in it and discharge. Can't be fixed.DON'T GO TO THIS GUY.
Horrible it was like they didn’t know what they were doing couldn’t see out of contacts he changed prescription without another exam couldn’t see out of them either Should not be in business totally unprofessional I was out $170.00 they wouldn’t make it right finally changed eye drs
I woke up this morning excited to be able to read fine print for the first time in 20 years...without my glasses oe contacts! This is all due to the expertise of Dr. James Huffman and his staff at Huffman and Huffman Eye Care in London, KY! I’ve worn glasses/contacts for 20+ years, and have been seen by Dr. Huffman for much of that time. When I was diagnosed with cataracts, I was devastated! I knew my eyesight had worsened over the years, but cataracts!. What was I to do!?!? Dr. Jim gave me the answer...surgery! In just two short painless surgeries, my eyesight was restored, and I owe it all to Dr. Jim Huffman and his wonderful staff at Huffman and Huffman’s in London, KY. James Huffman is a miracle worker! Thanks so much!
So disappointed in these people. Dr’s are great but their employees are terrible. Not personable at all. My eyeglasses kept bothering me. I went in 5 times trying to get them fixed. The lady each time would grab my glasses stretch them around and hand them back to me like I wasn’t supposed to ask her again. Literally the woman never spoke a word to me. I have scheduled a new appt this year with 20/20 eye care here in London. Hoping their office has nicer people.
After waiting two hours for this quack to see my one month old baby, I found out that he didn't read the chart that was sent over from our referring pediatrician. I asked him to read it, but he asked me to explain the problem instead. My son was already prescribed 3 different medicines for his condition and tested positive for a bacterial infection in his eye, so I really wanted this useless waste of oxygen to read his chart to at least know what medicines were already prescribed. He dismissed the problem like it was nothing and said he normally doesn't worry about these things until the child is a year old. That's all fine, but we were referred by a very concerned pediatrician who is a real doctor. We ended up screaming at each other in front of all of his soon to be victims. He called me an idiot and asked if I had a mental problem. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. You could get better medical care at the Dairy Queen.
I was referred to Dr Huffman by my son's pediatrician. I will now be switching pediatricians. After a 2 hour wait, he was rude and did not read the my son's chart. My son is one month old and has been prescribed 3 different medications for an eye infection, but Dr. Huffman didn't think he was important enough to even read his culture results. This man should not have a medical license. We ended up screaming at each other loud enough for all his other patients to hear. It was awful.
I have a lot of trust in Dr. Huffman's advice. He's always spends an appropriate amount of time with me and answers my questions.
Took day off work to go to appointment. Staff told me they forgot to call me, but that the doctor was out, and I had to reschedule. Took another day off to go to appointment 2 weeks after the first one. Got there 15 min early, filled out paperwork. Taken to room where assistant asked me all the same questions I had just answered on the paperwork. Dilated my eyes, took me to a room where I waited. And waited. Walked out, didn't see Dr. Total time invested (wasted): 3 hours.
I went to see Dr. Huffman upon moving to London. I do have a strong prescription; however, I have never had any issues with any other doctor's office being unable to get my prescription correct. After 4 attempts to make my glasses and blaming the lab for the issues not to mention 6 weeks of waiting, my prescription was never correct. Also, my insurance company paid for the frames and part of the lenses but I was told that if I wanted the frames I would need to pay $50 copay, even though in essence I had already paid for the frames. Per Dr. Huffman, my vision was -12.5. I just got back from an eye doctor in Lexington who not only was able to fit me with contacts right out of the gate without waiting but who also told me my vision was only a -9 in one eye and a -10 in another eye. I did have to pay full price for my appointment and glasses but the peace of mind was worth it. Do NOT go to this office!
