List of Cincinnati Childrens Southgate's Reviews
I Highly recommend this practice, it’s by far the best care I’ve gotten for my children and wish I could have went to a doctors office like this when I was a kid. My daughter will be 6 in January 2023 and my son turned two back in July 2022. I took my daughter to Health-point the first year of her life, from January 2017 until December 2017 and I wasn’t happy with the service we were given or the time it took every time I needed to take her to see the dr, at that time I just wanted to switch to a different practice. A family member told me about a different Pediactrics drs office that accepted my medical insurance, and gave me the number which I that day called and my daughter became their new patient. She has been going to the River Hills the Southgate office as well as River Hills the Alexandria Ky location ever since Mid December 2017. She and I absolutely love going to their offices and always been treated with compassion, empathy, and all around the best care I had ever seen, at a pediatrics drs office. She usually sees Dr. James Otrembiak, or Christina Niemer since she was 1 years old. Since then I had a little boy July 2020 and he also goes to River Hills since a week after he was born. It’s also great that they ALWAYS get us in and out the best they can and we are not stuck at the doctors for 2-4 hours. They always listen to what me and my children have to say, show interest and make even the parents feel welcom me all while taking care of my child’s needs, answering questions no matter how many me or my children ask and when it’s time to leave wellllll I’ve never seen someone have to basically drag (joke 😉 don’t drag my children lol) but I’ve plenty of times have had to make my child leave the doctors office especially the Alexandria Ky location. Thank you to all the staff at River Hills Pediactrics that make our visits so great every time we need to visit.
My son is almost 9 and has been going here since he was 6 months old, my 2 year old daughter goes here as well. The staff is super friendly and we’ve never had a bad experience!
I will miss this place it was a pleasure meeting the staff and doctors. - love and blessings from texas .
Friendly staff, didn’t wait very long at all for our appt or any interaction thereafter. Pleasant experience
They care alot about the kids. Was recommended by a friend and luv it so far.
Will never take my children back here again. Went in for our second set of immunization shots required by state law for our kids (have to get 2 shots within 6 months of each other based on new law). Doctor came into the room for less than 30 seconds (for both kids!), and they charged us $100/kid for the "office visit". Spoke to my insurance company, and if it had just been a nurse to give the shots, the visit would have been 100% covered. Very rude staff said it was their policy to have a doctor look at the kids if it has been more than 6 months (it's 6 months nearly to the day as required for the second shot). The kids had their height, weight and blood pressure taken by a nurse. Absolutely ridiculous! DO NOT GO HERE.
We absolutely love this practice - have been with them for over 10 years now and our children have received outstanding care. The docs are always responsive and helpful whenever we have had questions.
Rachel is the only good staff member there. I've had terrible experiences with rude doctors and nurses who dismiss my problems or skip around the issue and order unnecessary and unhelpful tests
I have been going here since the day I was born, I loved Otriembiak and the staff so much I started to take my kids there when I had my 18 yrs old and ever kid since . We have a huge family of 10 kids . They all went there since birth and have never been anywhere else I had refused to take them anywhere else. Since hiring Peggy in billing we have had nothing but rude nasty and unfriendly experiences . She is very unprofessional and lies. She will go in and change your child’s appointments or cancel and say someone called in then after arguing have to admit her wrong doing when it was someone else’s kids parents that changed appointments and she mistakenly thought it was our kid and this is just one of many with her . Long story short I sat and cried my eyes out today as I had to make the heart breaking decision to move my children to another pediatrician office and I hate to tell my kids this as they will probably freak out but I refuse to fund or pay this witches pay check ever again . Do not ever go here sadly I have to say noooo don’t take your kids here . You will regret it when you start dealing with her .
Beyond done with this practice. I removed my youngest months ago since they were not capable of treating a child with ADHD, and now after 10 years of treating my oldest he was called to Saturday class for school after their hours of operation so I could not call them within 24 hours and cancel the appointment I had scheduled. I called first thing in the morning to reschedule and now am receiving a bill for a no call. They are not understanding of any situations. All of their Dr's do not seem like the know anything other than basic illness treatments. The only Dr they had there that was any good, moved to another state a few years ago.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
