Idiot pushed me to get mt leg amputated by Thanksgiving. THANK GOD I went for a second opinion at another hospital.. Here it it St Patrick's Day and I still have my leg. DO NOT USE HIM OR ST E WOUND CARE. YOU'LL BE SORRY.

Dr. Shields operated on my foot and I couldn't be happier. The surgery went very well and my recovery was as anticipated. His bedside manner is excellent. He treats you as a person, not a number. He spends ample time with me every visit and attends to every detail. I would recommend him to anyone experiencing issues with their foot or ankle.

Dr. Shields has helped me several times with my foot issues. I had one surgery with Dr. Shields and it went fantastic. My foot healed in record time and I was back on the court within weeks. I really appreciate the time he takes with me as a patient and how he individualizes any treatment that has been necessary. The whole experience was great. If you are having foot issues, you should check out Dr. Shields.

I have felt very confident with Dr. Shields knowledge and ability. I appreciate that he is willing to explore different options. I have seen him for two different ailments on two different feet, two different times. My plantar fasciitis was very stubborn but is now gone and my different tendon issues are coming along now. I highly recommend him.

My experience with Dr.Shields was exceptional. So much so that I came home and sent my PCP an email to thank her for the referral. I have been to many doctors because of my Small Fiber Neuropathy including Ohio State, Cleveland Clinic and several neurologists. Not one matched Dr. Shields knowledge of treatments, showed his level of professionalism or comforting, supportive manner. Never once did I feel rushed. It was so refreshing to be treated as an equal partner in my care by him and his staff (Katrina and a blonde woman w a boot on (!) who measured me for orthotics). I left feeling positive, hopeful and relieved. Thanks Dr. Shields and staff! Nancy G 12/10/19

He is the best Dr I have ever went too!! So glad he was the one who did my surgery! Couldn’t ask for a better doctor who explains stuff to the T an gets to the bottom of the problem an solves the problem as soon as he can!

It is rare to find such a truly patient focused doctor in today’s world. Not once did I feel rushed through an appointment, pressured to make a decision about treatment I didn’t feel 100% confident in, or that he didn’t have my absolute best interests in mind. I felt as though he were just as vested in my care as he would have been for one of his own family members. He was the last of 5 podiatrists (from varying the practices) I saw regarding my foot pain and the first to give me true relief.
