I recently had back surgery (May 3rd) and i would like to recognize a couple of your top performers. PA Garett Guilbeau and Natasha both of which work under Dr. Dowd. Both of these individuals were nothing short of outstanding, during my office visits before and after my surgery. Natasha made sure i clearly understood what i needed to do before the procedure as well as what i could expect during the recovery phase. PA Guilbeau has a fantastic bed side manner, and made sure i was well taken care of during my hospital stay. He made sure my wife clearly understood the procedure as well as what was to be expected once i got home. She was very impressed with both his professional demeanor as well as his personal concern. Dr. Dowd and his team were nothing short of excellent and i would highly recommend them.

Not sure about Dr Dowd. But if you want the worst nurse you have the right place. As a nurse I have never experienced another healthcare worker speaking to a patient and family the way she does. And make a patient whom is confused about what is going on with herself cry and be absolutely rude and harsh, And then family calls and she is yelling and talking to them like they are taking up her time and bothering her. Absolutely the rudest person I have ever came across in healthcare. So if I could give negative stars to her I would. She is an embarrassment to health care workers.

I have no problem with Dr Dowd, the problem is his unprofessional staff especially his nurse, Natasha. She is rude, unwilling to help and has no empathy toward the needs of the patient. She never returns my phone calls and I went to the office today to see her … guess what she did come out to see me. I have never experienced anything like this before and will definitely be looking for another doctor. I am having severe pain will several lumbar disks. June 29, 2022

DR.DOWD IS A VERY EXCELLENT SURGEON HE RESTRUCTURED MY LUMBAR HE DID A FUSION TO 3RD AND 4TH AND 5TH VERTEBRAES THEY WERE HERNIATED AND ONE HAD RUPTURED AND WAS LEAKING INTO THE SPINAL CANAL. HE HELPED ME AND THE THE NUMBNESS IN MY RIGHT LEG HAD ME IN CAUSE I COULDN'T WALK AT ALL AND WAS IN WHEEL CHAIR. NOW I CAN WALK GOOD. AND THANK HIM SO MUCH FOR WHAT HE DID TO HELP .HE IS A GOOD DR. THANK YOU DR.DOWD FOR HELPING ME.

He removed a brain tumori. In August. So far so good. Nice guy.

This comment isn't directly pointed at Dr. Dowd but his nurse Stacy. I personally believe he loses patients because of her. I think he's a fine doctor but I will do my best not to use him because of her. She don't take time to explain anything to you but speaks fast to rush you out never asking if you have questions . Very unprofessional. On one occasion while sitting in the waiting room a patient of Dr.Dowd was extremely angry due to Stacy's unprofessional attitude. He stormed out not returning. I knew just how he felt. When it comes to getting help from her with getting forms filled out for certain situations, you can forget it. She prolongs the process and is quick to tell you it's a $40-$45 fee for such actions in which a person must come in to pay. A few days ago a coworker went to see Dr. Dowd for an exam. Not knowing he was going to visit that office and speaking with him, he stated the same complaint about Stacy. She needs a other line of work. Not a people person.

Worst experience of my life with this doctor. Wish I’d researched before letting him cut on me .i had previous surgery L5 fusion with hardware . Then 10 years later 2015 I had bone spurs causing me issues . Dowd decides on his own to take the hardware out the other doctor put in without talking to me . Caused my L4 to rupture. So 2018 he does L4 fusion and puts hardware back on L5 . Nots to my insurance he did L4 L5 fusion. That’s a lie. The other doctor did the L5 fusion in 2005 needless to say my insurance paid him for that . Anyway here I am 9 months later and still can’t walk or do anything. 2 months in hospital when I was only supposed to be here 3 days . Sciatic nerve just stayed firing off and still does today . 5 x- rays . 4 MRI . 2 milligrams in less than 6 months. Im sure I’m radioactive, i know it’s not good for my body . Still hasn’t found the issue . Refuses to give me any kind of pain medication. But will write my friend that she had same surgery that I had in 2017 still giving her pain medication. And lets me suffer. He told me to get off the pain medication like I want to be hurting acehole . I should’ve already recovered from this have no idea what he did wrong but something not right . This is the worst pain I’ve ever had . I regret this surgery and the doctor I trusted to let do this to me . Before it would just my back would just lock up couple times a month. . But being bed bound like this for 9 months will drive you insane . Now I can’t live my life . Can’t work . Can’t raise my 2 year old . He really is a pos and his nurse Stacy omg. His staff sucks like he does . Anyway from my experience stay far away from this Doctor. Do your research. Don’t get messed up like me and a lot of others I met online that he messed up people for life . He needs to retire !!! And his so called nurse dont have a glue what’s she doing she must’ve got her nursing License on line . Rudest person I’ve ever met .

Both Doctors are Amazing and very helpful they both Listen and take care of their Patients
