I’m very grateful for practitioners in the world such as this one. She is very knowledgeable, understanding and caring. In my opinion, that is base qualities I look for in a medical doctor.
Staff is friendly and helpful, prompt service normal 20 to 30 min wait, always get a good diagnoses.
Excellent!!!!. Takes time to explain everything, answers questions, looks at all options and tries less invasive solutions first. Best Doctor I've seen ...
Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Baker is AMAZING! My wife found a lump in her breast and Dr. Baker was aggressive in her treatment and diagnosis and possibly saved my wife.
Dr. Sharifa Baker is a very good doctor. She cares about your whole being and not just whatever ailment you are having. She really takes the time out to see how you are doing as a whole. Waiting period use to be sort of long but honestly now the wait is not long at all. She has been my primary care specialist for years and I plan to keep her for many more years.
I had an appointment on 9/20/18 and I still don't have my prescription. I finally found out today (9/24/18) that the Medical Assistant sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. Very frustrating experience. I stopped going to Dr. Baker's about 5 or 6 years ago because of her office staff (wouldn't correct billing code issue even after I got notices from a Collection Agency, I waited in the room over 90 minutes because Medical Asst., forgot to let the doctor know I was in there, and on several occasions waited over an hour to be called to the back). Dr. Baker is a good doctor and so is the PA I saw on 9/20/18-- But what's the point of going to them, when your experiences are frustrating, and you can't get your medicine without going through a bunch of hassle and days later?!!!!!!!!!!
This place is horrible
I have been seeing this primary care team for years. From middle school all the way until after my residencies. Initially they were great. I personally found Dr. Sinegal was their best provider. She is no longer there now. Over time I felt like they became more focused on quantity and taking care of their patients to the best of their ability. Their PAs have always been amazing at their office. After my training in the medical field and understanding evidence based medicine. I noticed that the appropriate management of disease states weren’t always being followed, more lab tests and diagnoses being entered into charts and to insurance than what the visit was for and what was discussed in the visit. One visit I had enough, because I found out I had a problem list 2 pages long, with significantly incorrect medical history. I was only on 4 routine medications. Some of the disease states those medications treat, those weren’t even on that problem list. When I brought this up to Dr. Baker, she got defensive as I would expect someone to. When called out on the evidence based medicine she wasn’t fully following, she started with personal attacks and twisting the picture in the visit for me to be a difficult patient. After that visit, I just said to myself I’m transferring to another primary care. I’m moving out of Louisiana soon to a state with overall better healthcare.Their office staff is friendly, sometimes they drop the ball when it comes to consults/referrals and answering the phone, but I understand things get hectic on days.My overall advice and advice: If you were to go to this clinic. All the providers work to the best of their ability to take care of their patients, but the application is sometimes lacking. If someone were to go here, I’d recommend they see a PA over this MD.
Never ever answers the phone while they are open. Always sends my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. Why ask me which one to send it to if you are going to do what you want anyway?

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
