List of Allen S. Joseph Md's Reviews
Dr. Joseph is one of the most caring and skilled Doctors in his field.
Almost 18 years ago Dr allen joseph did several surgeries on my daughter from the age of 5 weeks old to the age of 7 years old. He is amazing at his job. He still sees her at the least 1 time a year to make sure all is still good. Thank you Dr joseph!!!
God Bless Dr. Joseph. My name is Kimberly Johnson and Dr. Joseph saved my life. Thank you so much for helping others in need. It’s a miracle that I’m walking and breathing on my own given my injury but you were amazing.! I’m forever grateful ...you are always appreciated. Thank you.
Dr. Joseph has been my son's doctor since birth 25 yrs ago. He is an excellent doctor/surgeon. It is very difficult for parents when your child is born with a neurological condition and your child needs surgery. Dt. Joseph is very experienced and compassionate. To say that I have trusted him with my son's life is saying a lot. He has done 3 surgeries on my son. My family has been very comfortable with his care.
I had my back surgery when the Neuromedical Center opened. I am still pain free after many years and attribute it all to the excellent care of Dr. Joseph and his staff.
I would like to rate the office staff....horrible! The appt. desk cannot answer simple questions. Then they transfer you to the "nurse". You end up talking to the medical assistant who is in a big rush. It took me 4 calls to get to where I needed to be because they kept transferring me & telling me different information. And my son is a patient! They could have cared less....
Brought our infant son for a craniofacial issue, by referral from our pediatrician. At the first appointment, all was fine. He ordered a CT scan which happened in a timely manner, but then even though he himself saw the results, Dr. Joseph made us wait 3 weeks for the next appointment for him to discuss the scan with us. "Discussion" of the results is a generous term. The entire appointment consisted of him telling us he doesn't know enough about my son's condition to help and that he was going to refer us to a different hospital. This could've been a 30-second phone call, but instead we wait 3 weeks, anxiously, then needlessly pay a $60 copay, just so he can say he can't help us. 45-minute wait, 2 minutes of face time. Just to collect his insurance check. Is this fraud? He wasted a month of our time, and the type of surgery my son needs is time sensitive. It's shameful.
horrible, can't get appt , talk to staff
The best neurosurgeon you can get...he's been in practice for 40 years...there isnt much he hasn't seen. He operated on me in 2007, when many other drs told me nothing was wrong with me. I have Chiari 1 malformation and he did an excellent job. I'm surprised to read some of the comments. He is the nicest man ever! He's not your typical dr...he draws diagrams and pictures on his scrubs. He answers questions honestly. He is awesome! His vehicle he drives is so funny..it's an old jeep with the faux wood panels...decorated with mardi gras beads and funny stickers. He's not stuffy or above you..rather modest and a family man. To be as incredibly smart as a neurosurgeon is, you'd never guess it bc he's relateable..down to earth.
My husband brought our 3 yr. old in for a second opinion for her tethered cord. After waiting in the back for 1 hr. 40 min. Dr. Joseph walked in and started flipping through the file. My husband asked if he was familiar with her file. Dr. Joseph's response was very rude and hostile. He also started staring over his glasses at my husband who then asked if there was a problem. Dr. Joseph slammed the file shut opened the door and said "Get this GD person out of my office". He did not use abbreviations and did this in front of my 3 yr. old daughter. In all fariness, I answered the "knowledge" question as a 3. I do not, however, know how knowledgable he is....he never said a word about Wesleigh's condition.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
