Capitol House Nursing & Rehab Center's Online Review Report Card

We were told this place would be the BEST for my paralyzed brother who's on a ventilator after his accident, he was there for less than a month before having to go to the hospital for a UTI and having his lung scraped by respiratory. We were told this was the place for him to be weaned off the vent and receive excellent physical therapy. Neither of those happened, he received no physical therapy there and there was no attempt at all to wean him. We complained of the respiratory lady suctioning BLOOD up several times and she continued to do it. He had pressure sores on his feet and the sores on his back from SAGE REHABILITATION HOSPITAL had gotten worse. He had gnats in his room every time I went to see him. When he was taken to the hospital they found cornbread from DAYS before all over him because he had to feed himself which he really can't do since he has paralysis in his hands. For maybe three weeks of them "caring" for him they took $12,000 from him. The hospital recommended we do not let him go back. Even professional care takers and medical staff do not recommend this place.

There is no way these reviews are real and I think people are posing as patients writing reviews. This place is awful and patient care is beyond disturbing. I don't know what the staff does all day, but it isn't taking care of their patients.

I was a patient at Capitol House a couple of years ago. I joked with my friends, calling it Shady Pines(from Golden Girls). But, I can honestly say my stay was better than Sofias. The staff made me feel as comfortable as possible with me the youngest patient at the time,40+ miles away from children and family and friends!I sometimes i miss the activities...And the food and snacks are pretty good too lol!

Capitol House changed my life. I came in broken and found a family here. Nursing and administrative staff have been amazing. I have fun, wake up ready to socialize with friends I’ve met here. Kim and Dr. Fields worked hard to heal my wounds and now I’m ready to be discharged home healthy. Thank God for Capitol House and their staff.

I've been here since 2006. I get around the facility. They wash my clothes and give me what I need. I don't have any complaints.

I can't say enough about the skilled services at Capitol House. I have the best time with the therapy staff and my nurses Miesha, Becky, Jackie, and Yolanda. I am treated like a queen by the administrator, social worker, and aides. Whatever I need they find a way to provide. Topnotch customer service. I would recommend Capitol House to anyone looking for top care.

I love my job! It gives me nothing but satisfaction to serve our residents and their families. My number one priority is to listen and HEAR what our families need. I realize placing your loved ones in someone's care is one of the hardest decisions one will ever make, and at Capitol House we want everyone who enters the door to feel like FAMILY. I am proud to be a part of a compassionate, caring, winning team.

The only place that this place has the most god reviews on is here. On Yelp, they have horrible reviews, and the place has been scored below average by Medicare.gov (of which the information on why they scored so low is publicly available 24/7), just google it and you’ll out. They act like they’re so caring, and are more top notch than most nursing homes out there. The only thing top notch about about them is the level of B.S. they give you to get your love one inside of there. And, then from there you’re at the mercy of not knowing what’s going on with your loved one. Never have I seen a place where I would tell anyone, if you want you or your love one(s) to live, keep them as far away from this place as possible.

At this location for 10 months. After a period of adjustment, and I got to know them as they were getting to know me, I was extremely happy with the people...everything else is just a roof over your head. The Administration has bent over backwards to accommodate my request, Alyson consistently went above and beyond . Special thanks to Nurses Mel and Lynn and Debbie in Laundry...and to the hard working kitchen and CNA team and Monique...Thank You All...I hope to never see you again...but in a good way

My Momma was there for over a year. She was bedridden, nonverbal and in pretty bad health. She required ALOT of attention to say the least. She was never dirty when we came. I literally called every single day her entire stay to check on her and her nurses almost always updated me, sometimes they couldn't come to the phone because they were working which is a GOOD thing. The staff were always kind to my family and took really good care of my Momma. Momma recently passed but it was just her time to go be with Jesus.Thank you to Monique, Kenyetta, Irene, Dewana and the rest of the staff there.
