List of James Brewster Gardner's Reviews
Great physician. Very knowledgeable. The office is efficient and there is no time wasted, which is appreciated. Our son has been with Dr. Gardner for over 8 years. We actually took a break from Dr. Gardner to try another pediatric endocrinologist located about an 90 minutes closer to our house. We were not displeased with Dr. Gardner's care, we just were tired of the cross-state drive to his Baton Rouge office. After a year, we were back and for good. Dr. Gardner is worth the drive!! We are grateful for the quality care he provides and his accessibility when we have questions and concerns.
Dr. Gardner is professional and very caring. His staff are friendly and helpful always. I would highly recommend Dr. Gardner for your pediatric endocrinology needs.
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr Gardner due to the fact that the Doctor refused to see my son. Yes I was late but I did call and notify them that I had tire trouble and I asked if I should continue to travel to the appointment. The staff advised me yes....they would fit me in. Upon arrival they refused me though it was communicated that they would fit me in. SOOOOOO if you are traveling a lengthy distance to see him......leave 2 hours early to avoid anything that could possibly hold you up. Though I was proactive in my efforts to get there and waited MONTHS for the appointment just to be turned around...I selected another Doctor due to his noncompassion for a situation that was beyond my/our control.
I am an 89 year old patient of Dr. Gardner and I have been going to him for over 2 years,I have found him trustworthy, through and listened to my health concerns, I recommend him highly
One of the best doctors in Hot Springs, and believe me I've tried others! He has diagnosed correctly any health issue that has ever popped up in my life, and solved it. I'm 48 and have gone to him for nearly 20 years. Highly recommend!
The Doctor was great. He really listened to me and examined me throughly. I needed my thyroid checked. They lab told me they would contact me if something was wrong and there was no need to call because they are very busy. It's been 4 months now. I had a physical at the VA and a very low thyroid level was detected .07. I called and asked the nurse and she said she was sorry it just an oversite. This oversite has had me feeling even worse. Also they have someone else's blood work in my file.
The doctor would rather someone who rilly needs help in pain than help. I had them cut my meds in half and told them I would rather have surgery than meds but he had to do something. I'm on disability have had back problems for over 20 years. To make a long story short he said that's your problem..... And I recorded it if anyone wants to hear it.
Dr. Gardner is the Best! He's very patient , kind, and family oriented. He cares tremendously about the children. My son was diagnosed with diabetes about 6 months ago and he's only 10! Dr. Gardner is very progressive with treatment! I drive an hour to see him and I wouldn't change that for anything!
Dr Gardner has an excellent staff. Your appointments are very much on time. He was very informative and even our 10 year old understood what was happening. If something is not right or you do not understand-let them hear from you. Type 1 is pretty serious for a loved one, especially a child.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
