List of Jon D. Olson's Reviews
I was referred to Dr. Olson by my Neuro Surgeon to treat my Essential Tremor. Dr. Olson reviewed all the Medications that had not worked for me in the Past. He was very compassionate and listened. Because of that, we found a Medication that I can tolerate and that helped me immensely. I also received alternative Treatment Options and Aides that I took Advantage of. I was also treated for severe Neuropathy. Doctor Olson never gave up on me! Because of Dr. Olson's interest in my Opinion and with his Advice on alternatives and his Compassion, I only have to take my Tremor Medication on Occasion, and my Neuropathy also only flares up occasionally. Dr. Olson gave me my life back, and I am immensely grateful.
I have been a patient since 2020 Dr. Olson is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who is dealing with nerve damage and pain. He is very compassionate about him clients and always does his best to give you the best results relating to your pain. His experience and years of knowledge shows. Very happy client.
My mother was seeing Dr. Olsen for a glioblastoma brain tumor. The thing that is most memorable to me was the day she thought she was dying during an appointment visit in his office. Instead of his staff attending to her in a more timely fashion, we were made to wait for them to finish their conversation right outside the exam room door about the new car Dr. Olsen had just bought. Everyone was really excited about his new set of wheels, and my mother seemed to be the last thing on their minds. She died a couple of months later. This was in 2005, but I have never forgotten how unimportant we felt that day.
Though I waited a bit to be seen I've seen dr. Olson twice in about 6 years for a non-surgical problem but he spent a good 30 minutes with me going over my entire history, doing a physical exam, and being very thorough and explaining my diagnosis and what my options were. I would highly recommend him. He also has a nice sense of humor. I have seen some negative reviews regarding the office support staff and they seem much less interested in the patients though dr. Olson does seem to care greatly.
I highly recommend Dr. Olson. He does not rush the visit, he ask questions and listens. He was able to provide answers and a plan of care to treat my condition.
At the age of 50 my CNS freaked from moderate deformities of knees and hips, physical labor starting @ ten, chronic lumbar pain @ 17, cervical injuries/moderate pain from 25, arthritic hips@ 35, moderate–severe lumbar arthritis @ 50. I started having severe, body wide phantom pain and muscle spasms. No one would treat me without a "serious" injury— probably thought I wanted pain killers. I was suicidal, and probably appeared insane. Dr. Olson treated me without pain killers, and saved my life.
Dr. Olson and staff are always very caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Olson is always very attentive to all my needs and concerns. Love being his patient.
I've had the same experiences as the other reviewers,,Not Good I'm also looking a new neurologist... any help out there
When a doctor prescribes a powerful drug and says he wants to see you again in a month, you take off work for a day, and find out you have been switched to a nurse you've never met and who has no knowledge about the medication nor your condition, it's time to find a different neurologist. I can't tell you f he's good or bad, but I cannot recommend this practice.
The one star review is absolutely correct... I've had to wait over an hour to see his PA...all I needed was a refill,, there were no changes in my history... I have been going to this doctor for a long time... putting up with a rude and indifferent staff, waiting and waiting to be seen. I'm currently looking for a new neurologist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
