I am frankly appalled at the treatment I received here. I was sent home after having stitches removed with a gaping open wound full of blood. This was not mentioned to me in office, nor could I see it until I got home because it is on the side of my neck. The only follow up care I received was: continue putting antibiotic ointment on it. As someone who has worked in the healthcare field, once I noticed what she left me with all I could think was this is complete negligence. I had a PA and a doctor both look at the wound and were equally in shock that I was sent home in the condition that I was in. I called the EENT office and spoke with a nurse who dismissed me completely when I told her about the wound and said “if the doctor was concerned she would have said something”. I am at an extreme risk for infection now and had to get a prescription for Keflex from another physician who was extremely concerned, all because Dr. Scallan and her staff dismissed me. This is pure negligence.

You better not be running a minute over the 15 min rule under any circumstances she will not see your child...make you reschedule them....it's difficult to get another appointment soon & she will discharge you from her practice for running a few minutes late & showing up for the appointment! Plus charge you a $25 fee for her choosing not to see you even if she is the one running late or behind & you have to sit and wait longer than expected for her! We aren't talking about no calling for an appointment or showing up at all but actually taking your time to be courtesy & call (you are put on extended holds and transfered) in addition to showing up for your child's appointment in person navigating through the bluebonet traffic & facility parking lot (always packed) surgery center also, waiting for the elevator, racing to the second floor with an upset toddler who doesn't feel well, waiting your turn in line to sign-in (one-line) then to be told you are two or three minutes past the deadline to be seen today! Really?? It happens to dozens of patients in Dr. Scallan's practice on a daily basis!! #ParentingWoes
