Awesome Dr. ! Explained everything very simple and has me under control now !
Has kept my wife's lupus in check while also keeping her calm and reassured. She has anxiety, and he is as good with her as any psychiatrist that she has seen.
I went to Dr. Shannon six years ago for fibromyalgia pain he prescribed me a medication called Sevilla it reacted strangely to me it changed my mood I was unreasonable at the time no one counseled me and help me to understand what was going on
I have fibromyalgia and wasn’t in pain at the time , My first and only visit with him he said “ I guess you’ll be back when you hurt enough “ . I still have trouble wrapping my mind around a doctor telling a patient that . I guess it depends on the day . I see such mixed reviews on here . Good luck !
Dr. Shannon and his staff are excellent! One of the few doctors who does not rush you thru but takes time to discuss my concerns and options for treatment.
He made me feel uncomfortable, both by physically touching my legs a lot and the way he spoke to my husband and not me about my medical care. He might be a good doctor, but there are better and more respectful ones in the area.
Dr. Shannon is great! He takes time to go through all of your records and test results with you.
I have been a patient of Dr Shannon for 3 years now. I was referred to him with an auto immune disease that was originally misdiagnosed as cancer. After seeing numerous specialists who had trouble correctly identify the root of my problems I was at the point where I had decided that I would just live the rest of my life in pain. Dr Shannon spent 2 hours with me on my very first visit (even taking out a makeshift easel and diagramming my issues and explaining to me what was going on). During this first visit he came up with a plan of action and treatments which I immediately started. Although the first treatment did not work (nor the second round), Dr Shannon did not give up thinking outside of the box for an experimental treatment which has to this day been a life changer. He is the one doctor who has been very quick to respond to any questions I have, even going as far as texting me to check up on my progress. I would refer Dr Shannon a thousand times over!!!!!
I was referred to Dr. Shannon for internal inflammation and infection. One week after undergoing the scopes, I finally received a call from this office. I was told....even with an internal infection, I would have to wait over one month, due to being a new patient. Well let’s hope the infection does not get any worse and I’ll continue suffering!!! I would not refer anyone to this dr nor will I be waiting around for a month to be seen.
He basically told me that everything my other physician did was wrong. This did not seem very professional to me. My primary care could no longer manage my condition, and this is why I was sent to the specialist in the first place. However, all Dr Shannon did was throw my PCP under the bus. My PCP is a pretty smart guy, and I appreciate him sending me to a specialist when he could no longer handle this aspect of my care. No thanks, Dr Shannon. I will find a more respectful rheum doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
