I'd like to give a review regarding my experience. Overall I am not satisfied with how I was cared for in my appointment. On Monday ( October 17 ) I went to visit Louisiana Endoscopy Center to get a Colonoscopy and a upper GI Endoscopy. I went to Dr. Stephanie Cauble for the procedure. First of all , I was put in a waiting room where I talked to a nurse, my blood pressure was taken, and I changed into a gown for the procedure. The nurse informed me that I would talk to the anesthesiologist and that the doctor would talk to me as well. I heard the anesthesiologist speak to other patients in the waiting area, but unfortunately I never got to speak to the anesthesiologist or my doctor. Someone came removed me from the waiting room to the recovery room to make room for a other patient, even though I hadn't even had my procedure done yet. I sat in the room and eventually a guy came in and brought me to the procedure room about 20 minutes later. He told me he would be in the room during the procedure. While I was talking to the doctor finally, she started yawning and then the guy that rolled me in the procedure room proceeds to put the anesthesia into my IV without even warning me or my consent. The anesthesia wore off early because I felt the instrument in my rectum. When I tried getting someone's attention and was unable to verbally, I picked up my hand 3 times and each time someone place it back down on the bed. Afterwards I remembered being rolled back to the recovery room where I noticed other patients were knocked out and seemingly unconscious, while I was groggy but awake.
