I went to OLOL ER for right knee swelling and pain. I do have a hx of gout in my knees. Dr Blocker took xrays and requested blood work. X-ray should fluid build up and blood work came back fine. First he said that I should follow up with my ortho physician and his PA agreed. Then he offered to drain my knee for some relief. I agreed because I was desperate for pain relief. This was done late Saturday night and today is Thursday and my knee is still sore from his attempt to drain my knee...had I known that he was not familiar with this procedure then I would not have agreed to allow him to do the procedure. ER physicians SHOULD NOT offer to perform a procedure that they are not familiar with. I went to my ortho dr in Monday and I told her what happened. And she agreed how I feel about physicians playing God. Just saying......

He diagnosed my condition right away. He was very professional and easy to talk to. Dr. Blocker has a great bed side manner and he is very caring. I enjoyed meeting him and hope he is there if I ever have to go back to the ER!
