Dr. Atchison is an excellent surgeon. I had a right knee replacement a month ago. He was very thorough in explaining what was expected, and what we both would do to get the optimal outcome. He doesn’t ‘talk down” to me. Very personable with an excellent sense of humor. I will gladly sing his praises to anyone needing an excellent surgeon.

Dr Atchison is a wonderful doctor with an abundance of knowledge when it comes to the hip replacement process! He performed my hip replacement on the right hip & I throughly trust my healthcare needs to him! His office is also very efficient to care for the patient’s needs before & after surgery.

Dr. Atchison is a wonderful surgeon. He did my total knee replacement in 2012 and did an amazing job! I highly recommended him. He was very informative and listened to me. A rare find in today's world. I can't thank him enough for my new life because of him.

Seemed very knowledgeable, but would not due to lack of experience in specific procedure. Was rather late (nearly an hour) and spent less than 5 minutes during the "visit". Very vague about other options, and stated he would provide other MD references that could treat condition along with better procedural experience, but never received a call and had to go back to square one. Not impressed.

Dr. Atchison is an excellent surgeon. Process and surgery center help ensure favorable outcomes. That said, it is a cattle call, and more patients seen by the Physician Assistants than not. You're hiring a surgeon and everything else taken care of by staff. Also, don't miss your pre surgery class and begin exercises before surgery. Problems with insurance paying for both an anesthesiologist and anesthesia nurse so was out several thousand dollars with my knee replacement. Check before.
