List of St. Bernard Parish Hospital's Reviews
Staff is always friendly.
This hospital is horrible... I went to the e.r. I was having abdominal pain and they winded- up giving me a COVID vaccine threw my i.v.the nurse name is Jennifer. I ask to speak to whoever was in
The Nurse Joesph that work 8/17/23 at 3:32 am is racist and needs to be fired . He is very disrespectful and talks his patients business amongst other staff ! I dropped one of the pills that he gave me he went out and told the nurse in the hall way she dropped her pill , and the other ladies goes to say she must don’t want it , he says to her YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN ! He comes back with another pill I take the medicine I asked him a couple of questions about the meds and if I can get certain ones over the counter he goes out and make a smart remark . They laugh loud as possible ! I proceed to go the desk and ask for my name she must be reporting me and the other nurse screams ahahaaaaa I love when that happens ! I’m black both of these people are white ! I whole heartily thinks this hospital needs an evaluation!!! I will be getting a lawyer . I felt so uncomfortable I didn’t even stay to be treated because I was in fear they would do something to me and I wouldn’t return to my family !
I spent 3 days in st. Bernard hospital the emergency room was excellent took great care of me and the third floor nursing and Dr 's did an excellent job can't thank them enough
Every single time I go to this hospital either the nurse practitioner Ms. Brittany or the receptionist Ms.Anna acts as if you are faking your pain. They dont even let you describe your pain before trying to rush you out of there. I have had to come here back to back for myself as well as a family member, & the workers always acts the same way. Ms. Anna at the desk always has an attitude no matter the severity of Your pain. Who wants to sit in a hospital for 2/3 hours because they dont feel like your situation is serious. Brittany got upset upon me asking for a second opinion after she didn’t do an exam just offered a prescription. I was unaware that at this facility You dont get seen just wrote a prescription. The nurse stated that there is only one Doctor on duty yet even as people were leaving from not being seen it still took 3 hours for me just to be seen. Ms. Anna then stated there was no rooms available with an attitude. I simply said ma’am that’s understandable but for people to be out here for 3 hours with no communication is horrible. After waiting hours in one waiting room they move you to another waiting room. what is the point? You literally have to be dying or bleeding to death for them to take You serious. Any pain they can not see they believe it’s fake. I have watched their interactions with other patients & no matter the age or race the workers simply Do not care!!!! Finally after seeing another nurse practitioner i did not catch her name however she was very nice & sweet when it was all over she checked me out & Yes there was a serious issue going on. To her thank You very much to the rest I wouldn’t recommend this hospital to a dog.
Close to home. Ty for adding this service for the Parish residents. No more leaving the Parish to get the procedure done. Amen
My husband had a partial amputation of his finger. He told different nurses 4 different times he was in pain. The blew him off. Not until I was adamant he needed pain meds was he given any. He needed to be transferred to the “big Oschner as they were unable to complete his care. I wanted to take him to my hand surgeon but wasn’t allowed. He didn’t see a hand surgeon there just a resident. He needed surgery but not immediately. He needed OT after surgery. We tried to schedule, but of course, Ochsner in St. Bernard couldn’t do it. He was referred to Oschner Baptist. Close the St. Bernard Oschner hospital down. There can’t meet the needs of St. Bernard residents. Nothing but a glorified urgent care.
The wait was long because they are under staffed but the care and treatment were excellent
I was skeptical about going here after I read about the wait time. I'm glad I came to this hospital. Everyone from the receptionist desk, nurses, and doctor were excellent. I didn't wait long at all. I was pulled to the back for treatment as soon as I was registered.
Shouldn't have to wait 5 plus hours (still waiting) for something that isn't even an emergency just because the urgent cares couldn't do an x-ray. 4 urgent care locations couldn't help us with a bad cough and this is the worst ER I have ever seen. It shouldn't take an entire 5 hours just to get x-ray test results and say they need to look out for a possible broken rib...possible. how have you not even looked at the x-rays for 5 hours. I'd rather drive through the city for an er than come here again. If my fiance has a broken rib we shouldn't be waiting 5 hours just sitting around.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
