VERY RUDE! Cannot believe STPH would hire such a rude person. Took my husband to ER because he couldn't walk on his right leg. Painful. Impatient when examining my husband and showed frustration. Made my husband feel like he shouldn't be there. I am a little hard of hearing and Coffelt had a mask on. When I asked for him to repeat what was wrong with my husband, his response was, "Are you kidding me? I just explained it!". No compassion or sensitive. Should not e a doctor.
RUDE
Horrible doctor. Saw him at the St Tammany Emergency in Mandeville after waiting almost 4 hours to be seen. His nurse was rude, but he was ten times worse. I explained my symptoms to him 3 or 4 times because he kept asking as if I was lying, like I wanted to spend my night in the ER. After explaining my symptoms to him numerous times he then asks me “so what made you come here?” He has no bedside manners whatsoever.
Visited the ER and he did not help me at all. Said my tests were “normal” and to call my doctor. Meantime I was in horrible pain. He never came back to my room nor did his nurse. Some other nurse came in and told me to leave. I went to my doctor the next day and ended up in the hospital 2 days later with a bowel blockage. Horrible ER doctor. I could have died.
Brought son in for a small puncture on bottom of foot. My son stepped on loose piece of lead from his lead pencil just prior to going to school. Dr Griffin Coffelt, ordered 3 unnecessary x-rays of son's foot. After reading x-rays, doctor informed me that his puncture was fine and sent us home with a script (just in case). The doctor did not find it necessary to even bandage puncture, however he felt x-rays necessary. Saw doctor no more than 10 minutes and received bill for over $2300.00. Called the St Tammany patient Advocate department and was told would credit $300. Overbilling is a crime and so is this bill.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
