Dr. salaam took care of my father for more than 10 years, he has been an excellent doctor for our family. Unfortunately my father passed away 2 1/2 years ago from other complications not heart related. Dr. salaam still takes care of my 82 year old mother and we are very pleased. Paul

Dr. Salam takes his time and explains illnesses and procedures. He is not afraid to seek others advice when faced with a challenging diagnosis. Other doctors told us there was nothing that could be done and Dr. Salam persisted and found alternative care and Drs elsewhere who were able to provide the care and fix the problem. Thanks to Dr Salam and his knowledge, concern and dedication to us.

Dr. Salam has terrible bedside manner and seems to have little concern for his patients. He has made it apparent that his only goal is to profit by doing as many high dollar procedures as possible. Following up with his patients is not profitable, so this is not something that he does. Dr. Salam performed an angiogram on my dad without giving him even one minute of his time before or after the procedure. My dad spent a total of two days in the hospital without even one visit, despite repeated requests. When his problem was not solved, my dad went to a different doctor who found some irregularities that had not been addressed by Dr. Salam. The new doctor has been attempting to reach out to Dr. Salam to ask about the procedure, but unfortunately following up with another doctor about a procedure is not profitable for Dr. Salam, so he won’t bother.

Dr Salam is an excellent cardiologist taking time with his patients and asking questions as well as answering questions in a manner that is not condescending. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He schedules his patients so that you are not waiting hours at a time.

Has the worst Bed Side Manner with his patients at St. Tammany Hospital. Came to Greet my family at my mother surgery which took 3 hours. and I was told all you need to know is she is ok and he walked off. Had no concern to tell us how the procedure went, why it took so long, was everything normal, did everything look good, how long were gonna be here for? etc. NOTHING. just the simple words that she is ok. out of someone whom has a PhD behind their name
