He has been my orthopedic Dr since 1986 and he is the kindest and most compassionate doctor I've ever been to. he did hand surgery for me and I've never had a problem.hes doing my knee replacement in two days and I have complete faith in him. Dr Mark Hontas did my knee replacement surgery on 6/27/23 and so far I'm very pleased with the operation he did and the use of the robotics. Again I speak very highly of him he's a great doctor.

Caring and competent. When I walked in I was in pain due to an inflammation of tendons on my left hip. Walking was hard and stairs were impossible. He quickly diagnosed the problem and administered a treatment. Now I am back to normal and very grateful.

I don’t care about wait times or how friendly the staff is. What counts is results. I have had 2 surgeries with him. Both went off flawlessly. The problem was completely corrected with a minimum of pain and discomfort. That’s what counts.

Dr. Rock Hontas is the best. I’ve been seeing him as my family’s orthopedic doctor for over 20 years now. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has a great bedside manner. He offers the best options for each case. Not just a surgeon who wants to operate only! I’m so thankful I found him when I moved here to the Northshore. Now I won’t let anyone but him look at my broke, sprained bones! His nurse & staff are always kind and helpful. I like the fact it’s the same people who have been with him for years! They are like family along with Dr. Rock! I think Liz has been there alongside Dr. Roch. I can go years without having to see an orthopedic. Then when I do I can still pick her voice out from everyone else’s:) it’s a comfort thing to me!

I think Dr Hontas's practice is founded on his football experience. His skills as a surgeon are limited, I received a staph infection and after about 6 months of office visits (mostly pain related) he "fired" me. Told me I couldn't make any more appointments. Had knee replacement.

Dr. Mark Hontas is the best. He took care of me when I fell off my bicycle and broke my left wrist. This happened on a Sunday and I was in surgery on the following Tuesday for a repair. And my wrist healed perfectly. And he also cared for me following an automobile accident for a badly swollen right knee from the impact of the collision. I would highly recommend him as a very caring and competent physician.
