Martha A Carr's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Carr has taken very good care of me, listened to my health issues and has treated then. But I must leave because her staff is incompetent. They are not filling my prescriptions on a timely basis (I call a week in advance) and they have even refilled one scrip with the wrong dosage.

I was admitted through the ER for observation and a cardiology consultation 40 hours ago; I’m still waiting for Carr to show up. She has wasted so many resources here at the hospital while making me wait. No one here even knows if my heart is normal or abnormal.This is a nightmare. Should she show up, I would have absolutely no trust in Dr Carr that she cares enough to stabilize me. Hippocratic Oath means nothing to her, obviously. It’s ashame that the hospital staff has to be an extension of her . The staff is wonderful; she’s the complete opposite. She deserves a NEGATIVE 5 stars, but this only allows me to give a 1star as the lowest review. Just over 48 hours later another, wonderful cardiologist came.

My mother has been seeing DR. CARR for years, she loves her. She’s always really really really patient and thoughtful with her. Now Dr. Carr’s nurse(or ma can’t be sure)…well that’s a different story. Megan is insanely rude, not caring, makes you feel like a burden when you have to call for lab orders because SHE faxed an after visit summary to the lab with NO SIGNED ORDERS. people like Megan ruin a doctors good name. People like Megan is the reason why our patients don’t call for questions or advice. Unfortunately, there are people who are in healthcare that do not give a hoot about patients or their care.

I have been with dr. Carr since she started her practice pretty much. I have followed her from place to place until she landed at Lakeview regional. She is a lovely person as well as a very experienced doctor. She listens and gives you answers to all your concerns. I love Dr Carr. She is my doctor but I consider her a friend. God bless

Highly recommend Dr. Carr

I was assigned Dr. Carr in the hospital but never actually met her. She ordered tests and I went today for a follow up appointment. Having heard nothing but good things about her, I wasn’t as nervous as I expected to be. The staff was friendly. I was told to arrive a half hour early for paperwork which I did. After being put in a room I waited over an hour past my appointment time with no update. I went out to ask what the hold up was and was told that she wasn’t even there! She was doing a procedure and hadn’t returned yet. I left. I don’t care how great a dr is, I’m not wasting any more time waiting around like that. I could’ve been informed what was going on and asked if I’d rather reschedule. I wasn’t. These scheduling people need to get better so we aren’t wasting our time. Don’t schedule appointments when she’s not even there.

I’m 47. I have been to so many doctors this year, including two other heart specialists. Dr.Carr is, very undoubtedly, the best cardiologist you will find. She is impressive, brilliant, kind, and her manner is exactly what ever doctor should strive to be; I’m so fortunate to be under her care. There was not a question I asked that wasn’t answered with calm clarity. She listens, which is possibly the most valuable trait a doctor can have. EDIT 10/30/20: It’s sad I have to revise my original review, because this Doctor is still the best I’ve ever been to. She is brilliant. Unfortunately, her office staff are deserving of their own review: An angiogram was not scheduled as Dr. Carr instructed. I, thinking I was having a heart attack, had to go to the ER and have an emergency angio performed. Two weeks later, the scheduling nurse called to tell me she’d just scheduled my angiogram. She had no idea it was completed weeks ago. Following my angio, Dr. Carr prescribed three new medicines. A week later, the pharmacy could still not get a call back from her office. When I called them today, a lady named Regina spoke down to me while she made jokes with another nurse named Angel beside her. I have been over a week without the medication without calling, asking, or complaining. Regina said it was my job to call for approval.Their tone, and condescending treatment of me was degrading and unfit of any medical personnel. I’m so sad and disappointed by this, because Dr.Carr really is the most brilliant, kind, and understanding professional. I have never been so impressed with a caregiver. Hardworking and knowledgeable, she doesn’t deserve her work or professionalism to be tampered down this way. I will not make this a one star review because Dr.Carr deserves five. The nurse, Regina, just called me back to ask me why I was taking each medicine on Dr.Carr’s list. I have never had an office ask me this. I don’t really know. I’m usually asking them why I’m taking something. Of course, I remember Regina giving me medical advice early on—telling me I’d need open heart surgery if the angiogram was unsuccessful. Luckily, Dr.Carr diagnosed me otherwise. I really would love to continue seeing this doctor. She’s a brilliant mind and I doubt I’ll find another this good. However, I don’t think I should have to be made fun of by her staff for having a heart issue either. So very sad to edit this review.

Dr. Carr has always been very professional as well as a compassionate lady. She has always talen sufficient time to make sure my wife and I (both her patients) completely understand our conditions' status and why she may be prescribing any medications. We could not ask for a better Cardiologist.

My visit with Dr. Carr was and always has been very pleasant. She gives me her undivided attention and gives me plenty of time to ask questions. She lets me have an opinion about my meds before making a decision about any changes.
