List of Mary Holzer's Reviews
I called Dr. Holzer's office to get a prescription refill. The girl who answered the phone told me I have to have another appointment before I could get the refill. She said I need an appointment every 3 months to continue getting refills. I asked her why and she told me the pharmacy requires this. Total nonsense! I asked her if this was a law and she said 'Yes'. Again, Total nonsense. I said, "How about I make an appointment, then not show up." I said it jokingly to get around the 'pharmacy rule', but she went into a complete meltdown. She yelled at me and said, "That's it, I'm not going to make you an appointment and not request a refill for your prescription. You can talk to the office manager." She immediately put me on hold. I talked to the office manager and my prescription was refilled 2 hours later. Several hours later, Danielle from the doctor's office called. I could tell in her tone she had talked to the girl I originally spoke with. She said I either make an appointment in the next 4 months (June) or find another doctor. What doctor's office would even say that? She said this was made at the request of Dr. Holzer. She never asked what was said on the phone earlier in the day. They just went with the one-sided distorted version and that was good enough for them. Let's face it, anyone can be nice on the phone for 1 or 2 minutes. That's all it took for the office girl to show the anger issues she has. I had a good relationship with Dr. Holzer for the past 16 months. For her to give me an ultimatum was extremely surprising and disappointing. She obviously has a dark side to her personality. I chose to look for another doctor.
I love Dr. Holzer, I dislike her office manager Winnie and office person Danielle. Neither Winnie nor Danielle should be allowed to deal with the public. Both were extremely rude and impatient. Rather than offer assistance, they both offered their rude opinions and wanted to engage in why I was wrong. I just wanted to be helped, not listen to their opinions and reasons why they could not be of service to their patients. I was never insulting or rude to them, (maybe a little firm) nor did I use any type of profane language, I just needed their help. Rather than help me they both wanted to shove policy down my throat. Again, I love Dr. Holzer but two of her her staff members leaves me feeling disappointed in their medical practice.
I've had great experiences at both offices (Menifee and Temecula). The staff has always been great to me. Dr. Holzer has been beyond amazing, I recommend her so much! I actually make sure my insurance always covers her. I've been through half a dozen primaries and she's definitely the best of the best.
I moved to Menifee from the Hemet area at the end of 2019. Due to the pandemic I have not been to the doctor since before I moved. I had my first appointment with Dr. Holzer a couple of weeks ago. The office is modern and comfortable. The staff is following all Covid-19 protocols, so I felt safe and cared for. Dr. Holzer was terrific! She spoke to me as if she had all the time in the world to listen to my concerns and discuss her recommendations. I haven't met a more understanding and compassionate doctor in decades! I've shared her contact info with my whole family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
