Very rushed and demeaning towards me. Hardly even did a physical exam. Basically told me to go back to another doctor who is not an orthopedic specialist. The rest of the staff in the office was delightful and very kind and helpful.

Wouldn't take time to listen to what I had to say, wouldn't even order an MRI. Said "It was a diagnostic tool, and I don't need that to diagnose you" I knew something was torn because of an injury, he said it was just arthritis and put me through a series of expensive shots that did absolutely nothing. STILL wouldn't order an MRI, wanted me to do physical therapy. At no visit was he in the room more than 5 minutes, and doesn't like to be asked questions. Went to another Dr. who ordered an MRI and found 2 big tears in my meniscus and repaired them. Please don't waste your time like I did.

I received expert care from Dr. Van Deventer during several different orthopedic situations. He is knowledgeable, caring and efficient. I am grateful to have him as my doctor. His staff is excellent and the office well run.

Always attentive to the injury. Except when the insurance started pressuring him. I noticed a change in his demeanor. Workmen’s comp injury.

Dr. Van Deventer was the on call doctor after my sisters knee surgery. She experienced some complications and I had to call in for her. He was extremely rude and condescending and spoke to me as if he was annoyed that he had to take the 2 minutes to talk to me. I feel sorry for his patients and employees if that is his usual demeanor.

Dr. van Deventer is the definition of a professional and skilled surgeon. Very understanding and direct about how the surgery and recovery processes for my shoulder injury would work, and I cannot speak enough about how great his office staff is when helping me with my insurance. My shoulder has never felt better!

Dr. Van Deventer has treated me several times for various orthopedic problems. He is extremely knowledgeable, very professional and friendly. He has always patiently answered any questions. I know I am seeing the best when I go to Dr. Van Deventer. Another plus is the clinic’s urgent care facility. I highly recommend Dr. Van Deventer!
