Short Story.... Had a problem w alcohol all my life but became worse when retired. Was day and night . Had other problems including cardiac . Was driven to Cardiologist and after exam said I should immediately see Dr. Murphy and called her office for appt. 1st next morning . Had to be driven also for that appt. Bad shape . I had never stopped for any significant time but I am now 3 yrs. w/o any alcohol . I have continued her as my internist and have gotten my life back . All good things you hear about sobriety is true . My Family especially . Part of maintaining sobriety is helping others , which is this letter and my Highest recommendation for Dr. Murphy ! Oh, She is Internal Medicine with advanced training in Addiction . I wish that this short story could really describe how wonderful each Day has become . She succeeded when others ... well I had given up hope of being helped by anyone and their were many attempts .

Absolutely horrible! Went to her to discuss changing my medicine and within 60 seconds she threw my wife out. She didn't listen to one word I said. Shenever gave me a second to discuss my medicine she persribed me. Then she rewrote the same prescription and told me to leave. On my way out she proceeded to come out of the office and tell everyone that we were to 2 craziest lunatic patients she's ever seen. Totally unprofessional. I'm contacting her employer and an attorney.

I was a new patient to Dr. Murphy about 2 yrs ago, and she was very thorough and truly listened to my medical history. Due to her really listening to my symptoms, she was able to discover that the antidepressant I had been on for 4 yrs was wrecking havoc on my body. It had thrown me into premature menopause, adrenal exhaustion and osteopenia. I just thought my declining energy was due to the stresses of life. One week after stopping the med, I had a menstrual cycle. My life is back!
