List of Sunil K. Purohit's Reviews
We simply adore Dr. Purohit. Such a talented Dr. And really cares about hid patients.
Poor communication
On the morning of 10/27/22, I was suffering from urinary retention. I called the office around 10:00am and was told that someone would call me back. I called back at 4:00pm because no one called me and I knew the office closed at 5:00pm. I was assured that someone would call me back after they finished with patients. Still no call. I called them back at 9:00am Friday, 10/28/22. I was told that the doctors were out of the office all day and that I should go to the ER. I was in severe pain and hope I do not have residual kidney damage because of the pressure from an over distended bladder. DR. PUROHIT'S OFFICE COULD HAVE/SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE DAY BEFORE. The following Monday morning, 10/31/22 I called to schedule an appointment. Again I was told that someone would call me back. To this day December 31, 2022, I have yet to get a call back to schedule an appointment. I have since moved on to another physician. I do not recommend.
Dr. Purohit & his staff were excellent. Highly recommended!!
Professional, courteous, competent, effective, timely treatment every time. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Awesome doctor good sense of humor too! Did my boyfriends vasectomy. No complications and was in and out in 30 mins.
My cardiologist scheduled an appointment with this physician as he thought my condition needed immediate attention. After waiting two weeks for an appointment, I was surprised to see a physicians assistant. The PA was in my room. For two minutes, immediately ruled out a kidney stone (although I advised him I have had many stones) without any tests. I was prescribed antibiotics for an infection. One week later I am in the hospital in agony with a stone. I called the office three times since Monday without a returned phone call.
Staff will not submit pre-authorization for prescribed medication. This means I cannot claim medication through my insurance company for reimbursement. I moved on to another provider who will.
Very good doctor. The staff (nurse especially) really bad!! They are unorganized, never return calls, seldom call in prescriptions unless you call back and remind them. Almost never see the doctor, only assistants. Likely going to switch to another Doctor. (Not in that office for sure)
I have no issue with Dr. Purohit, but staff will not do a pre-authorization for testosterone prescription. This means my insurance WILL NOT reimburse me for cost. I was told by nurse they don't have the "manpower" to input pre-authorizations. Very disappointing, my insurance company said they never heard of anything like that before. First question I asked when making next appointment at another urology clinic, do they do pre-authorization for testosterone?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
