I was very scared about the prospect of having surgery but Dr. Lavin made me feel so comfortable. He is an extremely compassionate doctor which was surprising to me as most surgeons I have seen are cold. My procedure went great I had a Gastric Sleeve and I have lost 85 pounds. I no longer have diabetes or high blood pressures. Dr. Lavin saved my life.

He is known for his quick pace with surgery. Beware! His pace creates a high rate of errors. He clipped my vagus nerve which has caused me to have Gastroparesis - a lifelong ailment. I’ve had several surgeries because of his error and it has nearly cost me my career! I’m limited in what I can now do!!!

I wanted to correct the last post. Ms.Chris Nelson is PA not a nurse practitioner!! I want to continue to have the same trust in Dr.Lavin. Is just the that he's taking way to many surgeries. If he continues he'll become just a ok surgeon.. Please,continue your excellent skills and not to do so many surgeries. You will get tired .

Dr Lavin is a great surgeon. But I think sometimes so many people want to see him. They are a lot of other physicians in his group. I know that with me he's don everything to make everything correct from my surgery. I hope I never have to change my mind about you!! There's one other thing that I miss is Cris Nelson the nurse practitioner she was excellent! She always make sure that the patient get the right care and I just missed that from her. E A

Dr.Lavin was amazing at one time. He did my surgery in 2004 . I had a weight regain due to an accident that hurt my knee and unable to walk good. He did a surgery in 2015 that left me vomiting for sick for 14months.I remember that my surgery was scheduled early. It didn't start until late.He had been tiered even though he says he never get tierd. Why was I so stupid 🙄🙄should have gone home and focus on finding some else. No one else wanted to do the revision. He did it cuz🤔🤔 I had no choice to repair a Lot of issues. Now I find out that the best Nurse practitioner Chris Nelson isn't there anymore. I am so sad!! She was hands on with blood work an anthing that can be good to help with your health. Now,Dr.lavin does not read notes on your chart Unless you point them out.. This bacame a practice of CUSTOMER INSTED OF PATIENT DR.He only cares about the money now. Dr.Lavin what happend? You had my admiration because at one time you were all about the patient Now you're about the money!!
