took months to set up surgery they NEVER return calls did not even reply to my requests for information before my pre-op. Finally I cancelled my pre-op three days before as I wasn't going in without some idea of costs and type of lens etc. that I needed info on before the surgery. Absolutely will not return callls.. If you need a live person select the option for billing, apparently as disrespectfully ...

Dr. Bessent saw me after I requested an urgent visit. The staff accommodated me with promptness and efficiency in scheduling an appt. shortly before the regular hours. Everyone I encountered displayed kindness and caring with great knowledge of their positions. The visit tremendously relieved my anxiety about my problem, & I can’t thank all of them enough!

The person that answers the phone and schedules appts was so rude to me that I chose to see another group of Ophthalmologists because the tone of an office or practice is set by the physician and this reflects poorly on him. He either doesnt realize it which isnt good or he allows it.

Dr. Besssent is an outstanding dr and goes the extra mile for his patients!! I highly recommend him. The staff at Surgical Eye are exceptional too!

Very impersonal. Dr. Bessent didn’t even introduce himself. He began looking at his iPad. This office treats its patients as if they were on an assembly line. Not impressed.

I was a new patient at this office and was able to get an appointment the very next day for an eye abrasion. This, of course, made me very happy. However, I sat in the waiting room for an hour and 15 minutes until the nurse called me back and took down all my information with her handy little ipad and asked me a bunch of absurd questions that didn't pertain to my eye. Then, they took me to a different waiting room where I sat for another hour and 10 minutes to wait to see the doctor. I would like to say at this point that most of the nurses/receptionists I encountered were very friendly and apologetic for the long wait. When I finally was taken into a room to see the doctor (and wait some more), he came in and I did not even get his full attention. He did not say hello, how are you, what brings you here or acknowledge me at all. He yelled for someone to bring an ipad so he could look at my chart before he even looked in my direction. He was discussing other patients, being interrupted by nurses coming in and asking questions or handing him an ipad to look it. None of these things had anything to do with me and I'm sorry, but if I'm going to wait two plus hours in your office (& pay for the vist!!!), then I think I deserve your full attention to diagnose my problem. I will not go back to this office.
