My vision wasn’t too bad before the cataracts were removed - needed a little more light - now it’s terrible. Still have haze, everything is blurry and I have 4 pairs of glasses, and none of them are any good. Can’t stand being outside anymore.

Bad attitude from Dr. and staff. Requested (3) times for a copy of my past office visit to be sent to my diabetes specialist. Staff didn't send anything to my specialist. I went to Dr. Griener's office to physically obtain a copy of my visit to hand deliver to my specialist and the rude and smug office staff said that if I wanted a copy of my visit, I would not only have to pay for it, but that they couldn't hand it to me I would have to wait until they sent it to me! Spoke to Dr. Griener about what was happening in his office. His defensive attitude left a lot to be desired. Don't lie and then try to cover for one another! Good riddens to all of them. If you are looking for an ophthalmologist in Hammond, there is a (5) star doctor that I found across for the mall. Check reviews before entrusting any doctor for your care. Lesson learned.

My vision was MUCH better before the cataract surgery than it is now. Even with prescription glasses, I can’t do much of what I could do quite well before, WITHOUT glasses. Trouble with reading, computer work, cutting grass & trimming, work bench, under a sink, etc. Everything is also too bright, glare from all directions produces unbearable haze. It can’t be undone!

Moved over 75 miles away & changed all of my doctors EXCEPT Dr. Griener. Due to his excellent care, my eyesight is perfect now. Dr. Griener is the most caring, thorough, & professional Opthomologist you’ll find. Definitely a 5 STAR rating for him!!

Cataract surgery both eyes - worst mistake of my life. Everything out of focus, too bright and lots of haze from glare in all directions. Can’t stand to be outside anymore. I need a different pair of glasses for everything I do - helps a little but not much - trifocals for walking and tripping, trifocals with sun shade tint for driving, bifocals (near & close) for workbench, desk, computer and reading, and another pair for TV (figure at least $500 a pair). This is for the rest of my life!

We have gone to Dr Griener for over 15 years, moved 7 hours away and still have him as our Dr! He is among the very best in his field and will always take time with his patients. (And the office staff has always been the most courteous!)
