Covid is scary. Dr Mather and her staff are diligent in keeping their patients feeling safe. The clearly, genuinely care. They are on time and friendly. The Doctor listens and gives clear advice and find care. I recommend them highly.
Hazelnut brown skin tone, seen for scarring the size of an almond, raisin-colored. 4 visits (avg 30min wait), throughout 1.5 yrs. First visit- told laser treatment unrecommended for dark skin, will reconsider after trying other methods. Last visit- receptionist said consultation for laser treatment was free then booked my appt. Met w/Dr. M. who suggested Black dermatologists in D.C. who'd have lasers suitable for my skin tone they don't have, saying, "we're not going to get an expensive laser for one person." I said, "other black people could use it too." She said most patients are light skinned, "we're pretty vanilla down here." And, "even if we did have the right kind of laser, I would not use it on you." Forced to pay at checkout- I said, "you told me laser consultation is free." Same receptionist added, "yeah it is, for medical reasons, yours was cosmetic." Asked Dr.M to waive fee, she didn't Why see me again, knowing you weren't equipped, nor willing to ever reconsider laser
I have recommended Dr. Mather to other people! I went to her Fishersville office where she and her staff were very easy to work with and faxed things to my insurance without question. Dr. Mather was very patient and explained things thoroughly. I was also also able to get an appointment in a timely manner.
My husband and I both had terrible experiences at Access Dermatology in the last month. We were both kept waiting over an hour to be seen and then rushed through our exam. In fact, my husband was treated rudely; and Dr. Mather said she did not have time to do his body check and go make another appointment. We do not recommend her. She appears to be booking way too many appointments too close together and has spread herself too thin by opening another office in Fishersrville. Your time is not valued in this group. She was impolite and unprofessional to my husband.
Dr. Mather always delivers excellent care. She spends plenty of time educating me each visit and answers my questions in a way that I can understand. I appreciate the handouts that I receive at the end of the visit. Her friendly staff is extremely helpful with locating participating pharmacies for some of the more difficult to find compounded medications. She gets amazing results with her botox and fillers. I can't recommend her enough for all of your skin care needs!
After two days I will fly to London.Week ago ,I discovered that l have very serious skin issue. It was really tragedy as everything was planned for this trip . I visited Dr Mather with a little hope. She responded with her great heart, understanding how deep I was suffering. Next day with her angels hands she solved all my problems. There is no enough words to thank this great Doctor. God bless bless you Dr. Mary K. Mather Aziz K Aziz. 4/29/2017
I have been seen twice by Dr. Mather and both times were a good experience for me. The first time I was seen, I was very nervous and Dr. Mather took her time to address my needs step-by-step. I felt confident in coming back the second time and I really liked how I did not feel rushed. Everyone was respectful and professional from check-in to check-out!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
