Ojennings American Legion Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Absolutely horrible experience. Went in at 4:30 AM, the ER was relatively calm. I was brought back into a room surprisingly quick, though that was the only thing that went quickly. I was there for 5 hours, and only had 2 tests performed. I did not receive anything for the horrible pain I was in until about 4 hours in. The phlebotomist had to stick me 7 times because she didn’t know how to draw blood. The doctor didn’t come to let us know the results of the first test until my husband went to the nurses station to ask (2 hours later), which we were then notified that they had the results and were waiting on ultrasound (a test I had no idea was even being ordered). They also got my DOB wrong so had trouble filling my prescription. The ultrasound tech was very kind however. Next time I’m in need of medical assistance and am in Jennings I will be driving elsewhere.

Went in because I was having trouble breathing. My daughter said that gave me 2 shots on fluid medicine without putting a catheter in and I drowned on my own fluid. It took them 20 minutes to bring me back I was on a ventilator for 3 days. Also went in before this and they didn't tell me I shouldn't get out of bed and the nurse didn't give me the call button and didn't pick up the bed rail I dropped my phone when I got out of bed I passed out and fell breaking my back then the nurses blamed it on me

I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone especially if you are having a baby. What I witnessed with my niece was absolutely unacceptable. If you want a great hospital to deliver in go to Gauthier Woman's hospital in Lake Charles. The nurses there are very nice and willing to go the extra mile to help. Here in Jennings they come to work with a chip on their shoulder.(mainly one but i could point a couple out with ugly looks on their faces). Also you have to almost beg them to wash your baby after birth took about 23 hours before they bathed the baby. The mom had to ask twice. (shame on them). I can go on forever but do yourself a favor get a Dr in Lake Charles you will love the experience with them. It will be memorable for a good reason not bad!

I had a bad experience, I had my C-section for my daughter done here. And wasn’t even given the proper medication for pain. Or my swelling. & They refused formula to my newborn. I would strongly not recommend this place to have your baby.

Recievied the best care from doctors and nurses, highly recommend over Lafayette General. Dr Ramen is a great cardiologist. I would give a 1 to Lafayette General

This hospital treated me like a human being. I wish I knew the ppl who treated me, because I wish to thank them personally. I had a tooth abscess, I was dirty, my clothes looked terrible, I was every single thing that has gotten me treated like garbage by so many ppl, I didn't even have any ID on me, I don't have health insurance, but these ppl treated me with honest concern, respect, professionalism and diligence as if I was one of their own family. My father worked at Crowley General for 47 years, yet I will go to Jennings if I ever need treatment again!

They had exactly what I need

I would give zero stars also if it was an option. I would feel more comfortable and safer at the veterinarian clinic down the road. Come in here next to bleeding to death and you have time to order pizza delivered before you are called to the back, only to wait a few more hours before any treatment. This place is truly pathetic!!!

I would give zero to if I could very rude lady in pharmacy she's done rolled her eyes at me and didn't think I seen very ugly toward people.

Went there tonight with my 10 yr old daughter, March 17, 2022 staff was friendly except for the er Dr, he was so rude to me and my daughter, jalh does not need this arrogant, rude and insensitive Dr there, unbelievable the way ppl especially a Dr who would treat a child this way, we left, disgusting behavior
