Brought my teenage son to see Dr. Hammer & he ignored my concerns. Child was suspended from school several times & about to be expelled. First appt doctor took him off his depression medicine that the inpatient behavioral hospital had him put on because of self-harm, depression & claimed he wasn't depressed. Mixed up all his adhd medicine (claimed his pediatrician didn't know what he was doing w/ his adhd meds) & told my child when he turns 16 he can make his own mental health decisions. Now I have a teen who refuses to take medicine & refuses to see a psychiatrist thanks to Dr. Hammer. I would stay away from him at all costs!!!

Very comfortable session for myself and my child. He was very nice, explained things very well, overall genuine, and a superb experience with Dr. Hammer. I would recommend.

He was my psychiatrist when I was a child. One of the nicest people I have ever met, helped me greatly in overcoming my ADHD and Asperger's. This review is several years later.

I agree with the person that says that doctor hammer is arrogant and insensitive. He doesn't appear to help always feel irritated after a session. He always seems focused on documenting rather than having concern for the patient. Not helpful at all. If young have alternative I would suggest finding a different psychiatrist.
