Literally the worst hospital experience I have ever witnessed in my entire life! Absolutely horrible!
Just wanted to tell y'all. You have a employee who robbed a store in Hammond La.WBRZ News.
Please be very cautious and observant of the Doctors and nurses when visiting this Ochsner Hospital location! I want to prevent other's from negligently being physically and mentally harmed like I was in the ER at this locations in October of 2020. Still today I have not been offered a settlement for my bodily injuries. And the hospital has not yet committed to information about any changes made and new procedures implemented to prevent what happened to me from occurring to other patients at this hospital location. Back in October of 2020 I went to this hospital location ER with bad headaches. Right after being administered a brain cat scan the nurse injected me by IV with a dangerous black box warning drug named "Reglan" aka Metaclopramide. This was injected into my body by IV without my approval and consent. And I was fully awake and able to deny receiving this dangerous FDA warning black box drug if asked. But the nurse entered this drug into my body without asking me if I wanted it or not. I would have said NO! I was told by the Doctor that I was getting and saline IV for dehydration and nothing else. This drug is known for causing permanent neurological problems with only one IV dose! And there are hundreds of patient reviews on drug review sites that back up my claims! I have a long list of medical problems that I have suffered with after this drug was given to me by IV! Right after being given this drug my vitals skyrocketed and I almost died! I lost feeling in my legs and I could not speak properly! I have suffered permanent physical damage as a result of the improper training of the medical staff at this hospital! I begged the nurse to get the Doctor during my horrific experience after being given this drug. She ignored me and the Doctor did not come to check on me until the time I was to be discharged from the hospital that day. (hours later) I was not even told that I was given this drug by the nurse and or Doctor. I was told I was given Benadryl only. I did not find out that I was given this dangerous drug until I looked at my discharge papers at home. I have the full medical report to prove my claims and my case. And I have a letter from an Ochsner representative admitting to the mistakes made by their medical staff. In the letter I am informed that the medical staff will receive better training and told to inform all patients of the drugs before adminstering any to the patients at this hospital. I am especially concerned about them giving patients dangerous FDA warning black box drugs without the patients knowledge and consent! That is what they did to me! And I still have not been given any physical evidence that these new protocols to prevent other patients from being injured have been implemented! These new protocols, rules and procedures must be implemented to the medical staff at this hospital location to prevent more patient injuries both now and in the future. As far as I know they are still doing this to unknowing patients at this hospital location. I am WARNING everyone of this to prevent others from negligently being harmed at this hospital. Take care and be safe everyone. ❤
My appointment in September 2021 was canceled due to Hurricane Ida and rescheduled for 10/28/2021. I drove to Kenner facility from Ponchatoula, LA only to be told my appointment had been canceled. No reason given. Receptionist claimed someone called me yesterday 3 times and left voicemail telling me of canceled appointment. I had no phone calls of any messages on my voicemail. I was then told message sent to My Chart. I had no such message. I Immediately changed my plan to Humana Gold plus and chose a PCP not affiliated with Ochsner. I am so disappointed as I am a former Ochsner employee and know how the system works. Goodbye Ochsner.
I spent quite a bit of time here in the last 2 months. All of my time was spent on the 5th floor either in ICU or a regular room. All I have to say is that the nursing staff is top notch. Most all of the nurses that cared for me genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I wish I could remember all of their names but 2 nurses that definitely went above and beyond were Nurse Jada and Nurse Gabby. They treated me so well that I didn't want to go home...
I'm a respiratory therapist on travel assignment here in the respiratory department....I really am impressed with the care of the patients and how well the staff work together respectfully with each other

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
