DR. SMITH SAVED MY LIFE. Although an Internist and Pediatrician, she examined me for a pre-shoulder surgical procedure; due to her ATTENTION TO DETAIL, she listened to my heart and found I had a LIFE THREATENING VALVE CONDITION that needed surgery or else I would die. I had the surgery and am fine now, thanks to her. I had NO symptoms nor idea I had the condition. If it wasn't for her INTENSE FOCUS ON THE WELFARE OF HER PATIENTS, I would not be sitting here writing this now. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HER HIGHLY ENOUGH! She is STILL my doctor to this day and STILL gives me the attention that I need to stay healthy.
I am disappointed in the unprofessional and unknowledgeable care provided by Dr. Smith. I have seen Dr. Smith a few times and initially liked her patient, kind manner. However, I recently saw her for a medical issue for which she ordered an ultrasound. After the ultrasound, I was never notified of the results except for a medical report in my online chart with no explanation of the results or next steps. The report stated they had found something indeterminate in the ultrasound but did not explain anything further. After two days of trying to get ahold of the doctor or medical assistant to get an explanation, I was told I would have to make an appointment. After reminding them that I was told I would get a call about the results, the medical assistant begrudgingly told me that they didn't know what it was on the ultrasound but that I would have to see another doctor to get a biopsy. Somehow, I was supposed to infer all that or pay for another doctor visit so they could tell me they didn't know anything and I needed to see someone else.
I have had many issues. A big one is that I had Xray's and MRI's done which multiple surgeons told me I had fractures and herniated disks. I had copies also sent to my primary Dr. Smith to have kept on file. I received a call from her assistant telling me they received the mri's and there were no fractures and nothing was wrong with me. I told them that's crazy because I just had two surgeons tell me I have multiple fractures and herniated discs. Then I had surgery and my surgeon said to schedule a follow up with my primary. I make the appointment, and the doctor conveniently decided she didn't want to help me when I got there. The office staff went on to make multiple excuses up as to why. They said it was because I was late which I wasn't and then they went On to say that she didn't want to see me because she wanted me to see my surgeon and couldn't get me pain pills(I was there for more reasons then just pills). Why not at least see me and then only deal with the stuff you are comfortable with seeing me for and Talk to me face to face like an actual caring doctor??? On the phone i told them I needed a Check up and I needed something for pain. LONG STORY but I did not receive needed care. I also have had a lot of blood work done at the Mesa office, over half of the blood work i have had done i have been called back on because they made a mistake with my lab work. Over the past year doctor Smith has also went on to change m medication dosages on multiple drugs without giving me any knowledge of a change until I arrive at the pharmacy to pick up. Never have I had such horrible care and been mistreated.
Dr. Smith, Thank you for the excellent care you have shown me and my family throughout the years. I truly appreciate your professionalism and knowledge. Thank you. Gratefully SL
My husband and I were scheduled to meet with Dr. Elizabeth Smith for a short "Meet and Greet" appt. to consider her for our Pediatrician but after waiting for 40 minutes we checked in with her nurse that said she worked with the Dr. for 13 years and she said, "Oh, the Dr. is running a little behind." She told us the Dr. would be right there and pointed to her in the hallway finishing up with a patient. We waited another 12 minutes & then cancelled the appt.
After visiting 3 other pediatricians, I finally found a keeper! She is very knowledgeable and willing to do extra research and consult with collegues if necessary. Very thorough, thoughtful, and great with kids. The staff is nice, and I always appreciated how well she remembered each of my kids.
Okay well I haven't had a decent GP in a very long time, apparently good knowledgeable doctors with a decent personality and bedside manner are out of popularity nowadays, but I'm old school and I liked Dr Brown almost immediately, and I dumped my old GP by the end of the appointment. She took care of my condition in one appointment, which was nice to know she was interested in more than multiple billing & copayment opportunities. She didn't push a bunch of prescriptions on me either- refreshing.....
I definitely recommend this doctor. I felt she listened and offered information about medical issues which I am concerned about. She spent more than the average amount of time for a first visit and had more information and interest than my previous physician (well, PA). So glad I saw her and after one visit would recommend her to friends.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
