List of Matthew Abraham's Reviews
Went in for initial consultation. Dr. Abraham came into the office, very quickly reviewed my background/history information packet and asked just a few questions. He was finished with his "consultation" within 4 minutes and then pulled out a card reader in the room so I could pay his $50 copay right then and there. That was the weirdest interaction I have ever had with a "physician". Today was the topper where I received a bill from his office for an additional $25, even though I have 100% insurance coverage. The bill stated that I did not make a copay. I called the number on the bill, which is 3rd party collection, which called Dr. Abraham's billing department to ascertain whether or not I paid a copay during the visit. His office presented a receipt for a $25 copay, which is incorrect because I have my bank state showing a $52 charge for the copay. So in actuality his office owes me $25. Dr. Abraham seems to care more about money than patient health. How could he possibly have conducted a proper examination or made a determination that I required a sleep study within 4 minutes? I would suggest that you stay, far-far-far-away from this doctor.
Dr.Abraham has extremely poor manners. He wants you to communicate but doesn’t listen. He should think twice before he speaks and how he speaks to his patients.
Dr Abraham is great. He doesn't waste time but does what needs to be done. I'm always in and out quickly but never feeling rushed. I highly recommend him. Getting on a CPAP machine has been a life changer for me.
I arrived and did not have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen by nurse then maybe another 3 minutes after my work up I see Dr. Abraham. I felt very at ease and will say that they are human and they have a good sense of humor. Like I do.
Dr Abraham is a wonderful doctor. He listens to what you say, and give honest and easy to understand answers to your questions He is very compassionate.and truly care about his patients.I had been to 2 other sleep doctors before I found Dr Abraham, and I will not change doctors again
I am a current patient of this Dr. and I’ve had an excellent experience until today. My daughter arrived for an 11:15 appointment at 11:20, and because she didn’t have her paperwork completed (they do email it to you ahead of time, but I needed her to complete the part about her sleep habits) we were RESCHEDULED. I mean really. Customer service continues to decline in every industry. How many times do we wait for hours waiting on Drs. Apparently their time is precious and ours isn’t. Unbelievable that his office staff couldn’t be inconvenienced for 10 minutes.
Best Sleep doctor in Lafayette LA
Today - ONE YEAR after meeting with Dr Abraham and completing the sleep study, his office calls for a follow up appointment. My sleep apnea score was supposedly off the charts, yet the only follow up I got over the past year was a nurse practitioner calling to ask if I was sleeping better. For the $800+ I was billed for his 10 minute office visit where he seemed to push hard for the expensive study option, I assumed part of follow up would be to examine readings from the CPAP and an office visit
First time to meet him and it was a terrible experience! He is pompous beyond compare! He is extremely condescending. His only saving grace is his nurse is so unfriendly and breathes so hard while she does the initial consultation you will be happy to see anyone else walk in the examination room!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
