List of William Hart's Reviews
They need to update their website and sign ads. There website states FREE CATARACT SCREENING and on Nelson Rd on the electric banner is also advertising free cataract screenings with Dr. Hart. This is false advertising at its finest. The assistant said they haven't done free screenings in quite sometime and apparently nobody has requested one. However, they're the only place that takes my insurance so I'll have to pay for this one.
He was very ontop of my eye problems
I knew something was wrong with my son but all the doctors and even his pediatricians said it was allergies or in my head. Someone recommended Dr. Hart to me 23 years ago because he needed new glasses. Dr. Hart took one look at my son and said we needed to be Houston like yesterday. Dr. Hart diagnosed him with a rare disease and yes there was something wrong with him. Because of Dr. Hart my son is getting the treatment he needs. He has been taking care of my son for 23 years and I thank God I took my son to see him or he probably still would be diagnosed wrong to this day. He is a compassionate, kind and one of the best ophthalmologist's in Southwest Louisiana. I am a patient of his also. I am very thankful to Dr. Hart. I recommend him highly. Suzette Leger
He ruined my eyes. Paid the extra money for 20/20 vision. My eyes are worse than before. Other doctors have said my eyes can’t be fixed.
I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes, which was done by Dr. Hart. I cannot more highly recommend him and his entire practice. My experience was amazing, the staff were extremely understanding, patient, knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Hart took the time to fully explain everything that was going to happen to me to help reduce my high anxiety over having such a procedure done to my eyes. If you are having any type of eye procedure / surgery done, you need to see Dr. Hart! - Telsa
botched my surgery for cateracts. Lost approximately 30% of my vision. Won't do nothing to fix it. I am going to picket him
When my father needed his cataracts removed I chose Dr. Hart based on his experience and local reputation. I'm glad I did. My 91 year old father has successfully recovered from surgery and can see quite well without glasses. Dr. Hart is a kind, courteous man who answered all our questions and can perform cataract surgery like most of us remove our shoes. His staff was also well trained, very professional, and patient with my elderly father.
Think about things like... What was most memorable? What did you like or dislike? What would you tell a friend? Would you choose this doctor again?
I can guarantee that the review written about Dr. Hart on this website is absolutely not true and likely was not written by an actual patient, but by someone whose goal it was to damage his reputation. Dr. Hart is a very knowledgeable doctor and a great person and anyone who knows him knows he is a great physician. In addition to this, the staff at Dr. Hart's office is courteous, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Hart to potential patients in search of an opthalmic practitioner.
Dr. William Hart is incompetent and should be censured by the medical community, in addition to discontinuing patient treatment. On several occasions in the last year he has mis-diagnosed the severity of macular degeneration in my relative that would have led to blindness had we not intervened and sought therapy elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
