So Where Do I Start, Today I Went To St. James Parish Hospital Because My Leg Was Hurting Me Unbearable. So After Seeing The Dr. And He Tells Me He Don’t See Nothing Wrong With My Leg After Not Doing A X-ray or Ultrasound or Blood Work. So I Got Discharge With No Meds But Was Giving A Icepack. So As The Day Go On My Pain Continue To Get Worst Where I Was Having Trouble Walking. So I Decided To Go To Ochnser Where They Did A X-ray & Ultrasound. The Doctor Just Came & Inform Me That I Have A Blood Clot In My Leg. So With That Being Said That Dr At St James Parish Hospital Need To Be Ashamed Of Himself. I Will Never Be Stepping Foot Back In That Hospital. I Could Have Died If The Would Have Ruptured.

Very clean, very friendly staff! Well taken care of when you're there! All staff attends to you very kindly! Never left alone to wonder what's going on! You can ask anything you want to and there's always a very clear answer! Good job guys, Keep doing a great job and I'll always come back if I need to!

Would not give this place any stars. By far the most unprofessional hospital I ever been to. From the intake nurse rolling her eyes and giggling when I told her about my medical problem I was having all the way to the old Doctor that didn’t want to even listen to what I had to say. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Was at St. James for skilled care. The weekly updates were great, the caregivers very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend this facility to anyone needing care.

The emergency room receptionist that’s working tonight 12/14 @ 8:20 pm, has a very nasty attitude ! She’s in the wrong field this must be addressed

This is only my 2nd time ever using St. James Hospital. The care i received from Dr. Kirby MD in the ER was above and beyond any exam I have EVER had from an ER physician! I went in for what I thought was a kidney stone, come to find out after blood work and CT, that my pain I was feeling was actually Neuropathic Pain from my Spine! Had it not been for the thorough examination and Dr. Kirby with her 40+ years of clinical practice, and her doing a true physical exam, I very easily could/would has been mis diagnosed and treated!I also want to give a huge shout out to my nurse Loraine RN (ER) who from the point of checking in, getting triaged, IV access being obtained and then medicating me for pain and nausea before I went to radiology for testing. She was truly my biggest advocate! My pain control and Comfort were her top priority for me! I could honestly say that what made this visit so great and impacted me the most was I had two Healthcare Providers who saw me as an individual, a person! They truly treated me like family! For that I'm truly grateful and would recommend this facility to my family and friends!
