Im an 81 year old lady. I went to Dr. Bruce Ennis for a heart checkup due to my age and family history. I did not see him at any time of my visits. I always got his nurse practioner. But have to pay the same amount even though I didn't ever see him. I was scheduled for an angiogram. They told me I had calcium in my aorta which is the widow-maker. After getting angiogram in my wrist, my entire hand and arm was badly bruised. My wrist and thumb couldnt be used for a week and after the week I was having severe shocking pain from my wrist to my thumb. I went to see Dr. Ennis to show him what had happened. I didn't see him. Saw his nurse practioner. She told me to take baby aspirin, and soak my hand in warm water. That was another co-pay. Thought you didnt have to pay for a follow up visit. I had to go to a hand specialist as he said he hit a nerve when they inserted the needle. So I had to pay again for something Dr.Ennis had done wrong. So glad I didnt need heart surgery. I am 81 years

Dr Ennis fought my insurance company in my behalf for WEEKS to finally get them to give me a Brain MRI which revealed an AVM that had hemorrhaged and caused my stroke. Instead of passing me off to another doctor, he went above and beyond to find the rood cause of my life-threatening problem. This high level of professional service is getting harder and harder to find these days.

i have had 3 appts with Dr. Ennis, however, i have never seen him. after waiting an hour or more i have been passed over to the nurse practicioner.

I was very impressed with Dr Ennis. He listened and sincerely was concerned with helping me. When you have chronic issues you sometimes realize the importance of those who are geniune and do not overly criticize. These are the ones you want to help you.

Dr. Ennis is one of the most caring physicians I have ever encountered. The care he administered to my husband while in Lakeview Regional Medical was beyond excellent. And his staff we give the same praise. Were it not for Dr. Ennis, Dr. Simon and countless others at Lakeview and the Tulane Medical System that took a chance to safe my husband's life he would have certainly died. Because they took a chance after 19 other hospitals turned us down my husband is alive and a fully functioning person
