Dr. Ellis is very good. SOO sweet!! I’ve been seeing him & “of course” Cindy, since I was a baby. He see’s adults also. I’m in my 20’s now. So I’m happy I can still see him!!❤️❤️

Dr. Ellis specializes in pediatric neurological ophthalmology. Take it from a mom who did the work, he IS the best in this state. Yes. You will have to wait. A while. Every appointment. Mainly because people come from all over the state and the gulf coast because of his specialty. Pack snacks, self entertainment, and take the day off work. The wait time will pass faster. (If your child needs dilation, plan on a minimum three hour appointment) Some good news? Free parking. If you are visiting the practice for the first time or if you are a regular patient who needs to be there every 6-8 weeks, you'll see an assistant most of the time. Dr. Ellis ALWAYS came in at the end to answer questions and say hello to my family. When my child needed several surgeries, Dr. Ellis and his team made sure the experience was as safe and calm as possible for my severely anxious, autistic child. Yes, the appointments are time-suckers but like the old saying goes, the best things in life are worth waiting for. Dr Ellis and his team are THE BEST and worth the wait.

Never going back! Dr. Ellis is unprofessional. You make an appointment, pay the co pay and he is not even there. So, I paid a Co pay to see his assistant. I heard he does that often. He is not thorough. Very disappointed.

We travel from Lafayette to see Dr. Ellis. He was very thorough with testing and after 4 years of seeing another doctor closer to home, Dr Ellis finally gave us a diagnosis. We still drive 2 hours away to see him for checkups. He talks to my son and explains things on his level. My son also loves his ties and socks!!! He refuses to go back to the other doctor close to home. Great employees too!!

Dr. Ellis is the best. My son is now 16 and has been seeing Dr Ellis since a very young age. Being a 1lb. 10oz premature baby, he had a lot of vision problems. He has performed 2 eye surgeries and my son has vision. I'm thankful for Dr. Ellis and Cindy.

Dr. Ellis is amazing. We have been seeing him since my no 16 year old son was a 1 lb 10 oz premature baby. He has performed two surgeries over the years and my son has vision. I highly recommend him.

Maybe I caught him on a bad day. I’m not sure, however he was obviously in a lot of pain and moaning the whole time. He was rude whenever I’d try to ask him detailed questions about my son’s eye condition. He just acted like it was such an inconvenience to see us.

My 7 year old has seen Dr Ellis since 1 year of age and 2 surgeries. My husband and I could not be happier with the amount of patience and quality of service from both Dr and staff.
