After seeing neurologist since the age of 15, Dr Happel is the first doctor to successfully treat my migraine headaches.

Doctor kept staring at his phone during my appointment and would often tell me "hold on, this is really important" before continuing to check his phone over and over again. Then he would mumble something about his precious triangles? Really weird guy. I don't think he's getting enough sleep. Would not recommend.

We requested a letter from Dr Happel stating that my mother had dementia and that he had been treating her for several years. Dr. Happel was called almost daily and received multiple messages for a period of 2 weeks. He never answered me even when his nurse asked him to do so. Finally, we showed up at his office. He said he would do it for 50.00 . We had no choice. This is a man who treated my mom for years. The messages were read back to me when I called his company. The final one was marked “urgent.” Very unprofessional behavior!

I highly recommend Dr. Happel to anyone going through something neurological. He cares for his patients, is a great listener, and has a wonderful bedside manner. Lana, his receptionist, is a beautiful human being as well! Love them both!

He diagnosed me with a condition I did not have and then over medicated me for 10 years. Instead of finding the reason I was not responding to medication, he kept increasing medication dosage. I was made to feel that I was perhaps faking since I wasn’t responding to treatment. Dr. Happel is very kind and my dad likes his very much. However, we have had serious issues with lab work not getting ordered correctly or orders not sent in to the lab or a problem with Quest lab on Cleary. No follow up by the doctor's office as I requested even though it has been two weeks since the last appointment. My dad's medication level in his bloodstream has therefore not been monitored ...
