Dr. Russell delivered all my children and now he's gonna deliver my grandchild. I've known him for 23 years and he has never ever let me down. The very best Dr. I have ever known.

Best doctor is dr Russell. He is awesome

Never answers the phone and doesn't return calls.

Amazing dr. My left hand was smashed almost completely. He took my little finger skin and mussel and stretched it over my 1st finger so i could pinch with the thumb he made from my left big toe and covered it with a groin flap i would have complete faith in his ability

I was a patient of Dr. Amanda Williams for my pregnancy but had to see Dr. Russell a few times. When was 16 weeks along, my liver enzymes were elevated to 200. He told me that my liver was failing and the only cure was a transplant. A week later, they were normal again. At 31 weeks, they were elevated again, this time to 1,000. I ask him about Intrahepatic Cholestasis of pregnancy. He literally laughed in my face and said "First of all, no one calls it that. It's just called Cholestasis. Second, you couldn't not possibly have it b/c you aren't jaundiced." He then transported me to another hospital to deliver, without testing for anything. Thankfully, the hospital I arrived at had more sense and ran the darn tests. I was diagnosed with Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy and after starting treatment, my liver enzymes returned to normal again. I didn't have to deliver for 5 more weeks. So, this man told me I was dying when I wasn't and then laughed in my face and refused to run any tests when I was right about my diagnosis and he was wrong. Did I get an apology? No, and not only that, the first time I saw him, I asked him if a medication was safe during pregnancy and he pulled out his smartphone and had to Google it. I could have done that. From what I have seen, the man shouldn't be practicing. Thank GOD Minden doesn't have a NICU or he would have delivered me at 31 weeks for no reason instead of transporting me to Shumpert, who thankfully takes the time to run a darn test first, or else my baby may not be here! If he sees this review, I hope he feels badly for the way he talked to me and I hope he will admit to himself he was wrong & try to do better in the future.

he doesn't listen to his patience whatsoever. not the greatest bedside manner doesn't explain anything and overall I would never recommend His care. If he would have listened to me i wouldnt still be having complications. Very poor service. Goodluck getting him to call u back

Dr Russell delivered all 4 of my children starting in 1993 last baby was born in 2003...Dr Russell really cares about his patients..Takes the time to answer any questions you have...I have also had 2 surgeries under Dr Russell's care...I can't tell you how grateful I'am to him!...Thanks for all you do Dr Russell!
