William Whyteii's Online Review Report Card

My Mother was referred to Dr. Whyte for pain management with a chronic, extremely painful back problem. She complied with every direction and appointment for months to go through the "required" process to get a spinal cord stimulator only to be denied by her insurance. Nothing had been done or given to her for pain relief the entire time this doctor put her through this ordeal for months. She went through nerve testing, cardiology visits, blood work and multiple visits to Whyte's office. She was scheduled for the procedure, then told the day before "oh, you're insurance hasn't approved it". When calling to ask what can be done in the interim (after waiting three days for a return phone call), we are only given excuses. " You have to keep calling the insurance company; we are following federal regulations; you can speak to our office manager". When you plead for help for your Mother who is in excruciating daily pain you get a rude attitude from the staff and then she hangs up the phone

I've been a patient of Dr Whyte since 2013. I had a spinal stimulator placed in 2014. In 2018 I saw Dr Whyte for a different problem. The charger for my stimulator quit working I needed him to sign the insurance paper ,letter medical necessity. They said I had to make an appointment wich I did but I asked if he could sign the paperwork to get this started since my charger was broken. The office said no so I asked to speak to the doctor. When I didn't receive a call back and they were rude I called my PCP. They got involved and were told that they would no longer see me as a patient and would not sign any paperwork. This doctor treated me for all of my follow-ups after my stimulator put in my trial stimulator. The last time I saw him in 2018 he said he couldn't help me anymore and to call him if I had a problem with my stimulater now they won't sign the paperwork and I can get my charger. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He is arrogant and and staff rude

I've been a patient of Dr White's for years He put he sent me to have my spinal stimulator put in and treated me on all my follow-ups. I called his office because my charger broke He will not sign insurance paperwork until I see him. I made an appointment but asked if he could sign it so we could get it started. His office told me no I asked to speak to him they didn't let me and proceeded to tell my PCP when she called them that they would no longer treat me and would not sign paperwork. Seems they have lost my records from 2013 to through 2018 and therefore don't have any record of him treating me. Totally incompetent I used to be a nurse

I started seeing Dr Whyte in 2013. I had a spinal stimulator place in 2014. The charger for the stimulator quit working so I called to get a new one. Dr White treated me did my trial stimulator and did all my follow-ups. When I called his office they said they wouldn't sign the paperwork until I made an appointment which I did. I asked if they could sign it sooner so we could get it through. They said no so I asked to speak to him. They wouldn't let me so I called my PCP and got them involved They were told that Dr Whyte would no longer see me as a patient and that he would not sign any paperwork. His office staff is rude They changed systems and sometime before 2018 and seems to me they've lost all my records because they said I became a new patient in 2018 which is incorrect. This office is ridiculous and Dr Whyte doesn't seem to care

He falsely accused my wife of being rude to his staff. Seems to be a common thing .He sent a letter to her and quite arrogantly to her primary physician of why he was dropping her as a patient. He just lost two patients.

New staff is more attentive and takes care of mediation refills in a timely manner! Dr. Whyte is by far the most knowledgeable Spine Specialists in Shreveport,LA by takeing a more therapeutic approach to help with pain. He makes sure the necessary insurance requirements are meet to help you get the care you need!

I was treated like a junkie. Staff is rude. Acts like he's superior to any other pain physician. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I was referred to Dr Whyte by my PCP due to continued pain following 3 back surgeries. From the moment Dr Whyte walked into the office, he was very courteous and talked in language that I could understand. I didn’t have my disk with me, so he ordered an MRI and and EMG to determine the amount of damage and what could be done about it. I hadn’t slept more than 2 hours a night in almost over 5 years. He placed a spinal cord stimulate in my back and it has been a game changer. Both he and his staff are the absolute best! Would recommend him to anybody who is in need of pain relief.

my first round with him was an A+ Second round is F-

I had jaw surgery so I went to my pain mgt appointment for jaw pain (6 Aug). I saw the nurse who told me that they did not treat jaw pain. She told me that they treat only back and neck pain. I said are you sure? So she went to Dr White to ask him. She came back and said that they did not treat jaw pain. I left. I was not seen by Dr White at all. I complained to my PCM about the treatment that I received. He called Dr White. Dr White said that they do treat jaw pain. Dr White told my PCM that I was only looking for pain pills. Dr White is ignorant of the facts. Absolutely absurd statement to make about me especially since we have never talked or met. If it is the case that they do treat jaw pain then why was I turned away from treatment? Very poor service. I will not go back again. Horrible nurse who just doesn't know what she is doing. Wasted my time seeing him and the 40 pages of information that I had to fill out.
