Dr. Fontenot is an excellent and caring physician. I am unable to give her more than 3 stars however because she is impossible to get an appointment with. Instead, I am always pushed off on the physician assistant who does not seem to be as thorough and caring. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that I need to find a new primary care physician.

Dr. Fontenot is an extraordinary physician and an experienced leader in medicine. Plus, she has powerful MD friends within LSU in case if you need a specialist referral. She's the only doctor I've had who phones me with good and bad news regarding my care. My other doctors only phone when they have bad news. I love the LSU patient portal that allows you to send messages to your providers and requests for appointments.

Dr. Cathi Fontenot is the most caring physician I have ever seen!! She is so very knowledgeable and goes over and above in each situation! I have been a patient of Dr. Fontenot for approximately 38 years and could not imagine having to change docs!! She is really One of a Kind!!

After repeated trips to the emergency room and going to my; primary doctor, urologist, and nephrologist, I was referred to Dr. Fontenot. She studied my previous tests and diagnosed my condition that led to my eventual recovery during my first office visit. I am so relieved to have her as my primary healthcare doctor.
