Dr rao is the best !!!
Let me start off positive by saying that the new renovations are decent, and the Hospital is clean. Also the Doctors, and Nurses are well mannered. That being said the Staff at the front desk, anyone who answers the phone, and the People who work in the hospitals chic-fila, are some of the worst, and rudest employees that I have ever had to deal with.I called and asked to be transferred to a specific specialist (not listing type to protect my child), the lady transfers my to the wrong department, waited on old to be transferred back to front desk, second lady answers with an attitude, as if it was a huge inconvenience to transfer my call, then proceeds to just hang up the phone. Now I have to go through the robot phone maze all over again, after over an hour I finally get transferred to the right department to be told, and I quote, "We ain't got that" CLICK! unacceptable, this hospital is for our children, treat it as such.On a separate occasion, I waited with my child at the Chic-fil-a for 30 minutes trying to get someone's attention, while the entire staff played on there phones, and laughed about feeds from TicTok. They even made eye contact and then rolled their eyes at me, when I asked if I could order lunch, and I was being polite mind you. If my child wasn't with me I would've had some choice words for those people.Anyways, if there were any other option I would choose so, but you know how Monopolies are. Please hire competent workers, who know how to talk to people with sick kids, can speak clearly, and can answer/transfer the phone calls without acting like I'm asking them to recalibrate the ApolloMan, it's been a day, all this during a Pandemic and a formula shortage/recall at that. Way to be New Orleans!
Number one in the city.Highly recommend to new Moms. Its community oriented advocating good health for family
Stay away! Recommend looking for other hospitals in the area. Our appointment was scheduled over 2-weeks in advance and It took over an hour to see a doctor at this hospital.
The Dr's and nurses are great. There's something I would like changed, They need to send parents food trays, cause for me, I have a medically fragile child, so I can't just go down stairs to the cafeteria and get something to eat, so I went almost 24 hours without a hot meal😪
My son was having breathing problems. I took him to Hammond because we live in Ponchatoula. This was on Saturday. They transported him to Childrens because they couldn’t elevate his oxygen and wanted his heart looked at. We get to childrens hospital and wonderful staff, but I don’t feel as if they did everything they could to help elevate his oxygen. They let us go today with his lungs clear, but he oxygen is still not where it should be and he’s still having breathing problems. I’m not happy about this at all, very frustrated. I’ll more than likely have to bring my son back to the ER. This time I’m avoiding Childrens.
This place is a pitiful excuse for a hospital. Sadly, I had to subject my three-year-old to this type of treatment. from the moment I walked in, it wasn't pleasant. The staff at the front desk was unprofessional and rude, to the least. To say the emergency room is newly renovated the waiting area was unbelievable awful. Im disappointed this is the only Children's Hospital in the city of New Orleans. From the waiting room to the triage area was nasty and the staff care about their cellphones more than the patients. I WISH THERE WERE MORE OPTION 12/6/2021
This big and beautiful new hospital is shockingly disorganized. No one on the phone seems to be able or willing to actually help solve a problem or answer a question. They just play the “I’ll transfer you” game until you reach a dead end and you hang up. The amount of time I wasted just trying to get my son vaccinated was ridiculous. Once we got there it took 15min and 5 people to figure out where the vaccinations were taking place. Get your act together.
If I could i would rate a Zero!!!! Worst experience ever. We got to the ER at 7pm and got tired of waiting at 12:40am when we finally decided to just leave after our baby stopped complaining and fell asleep.. Its unacceptable and very cruel to have all of these babies waiting hours on end to be seen, poor excuse of a emergency room!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
