Hope Ruhe's Online Review Report Card

She's fairly nice ans has always taken me seriously, but this last time I went she made rude comments about my weight when it says in my chart than I have an eating disorder.

She has been my dr for over 24 years through 3 children 2 miscarriages and my 2nd child was born during Hurricane Katrina evacuation. She is kind, calm, intelligent and all that an obgyn should be. So many medical professionals did not come back after Katrina...all of the ones that chose to come back and serve their community deserve a special place in heaven.

I love Dr. Ruhe. I’ve seen other reviews that state her office admin is rude but I never had that experience. Quite the opposite, actually. He was always very friendly and kind. I recently had my first baby and was impressed with how accommodating Dr. Ruhe was. She took her time answering my questions. Also- I was ALWAYS seen on time. This is hugely important to me.

Dr. Ruhe is the best OBGYN doctor I have ever had. She is gentle, caring, easy to talk to, etc. Good bedside manner!

Dr Ruhe is seeing me through my second pregnancy and delivered my first child. She was an excellent OBGYN who allowed me to make my own birth plan, never pushed anything on me, and saw me through all the way to a healthy delivery of my son. I have had Gestational Diabetes twice and she does not use fear tactics or get alarmed at much. She really puts me at ease during my pregnancies. I look forward to another healthy delivery with her. She's also super easy to talk to, and there's rarely ever a wait. I've even shown up to her office on the wrong days for my appointments and still was able to squeeze me in (those were the days I had to wait a little longer) instead of come back. You can always count on her to call you back too. Sure, people complain about her office manager, but he is just straight forward. This works for me. I believe that everyone needs to find the doctor that's right for them. Dr Ruhe is for me.

She is horrible. I would call in with a problem, and her response was always "I don't know". She would call in a prescription for what she thinks it might be. You're not going to know what's going on if you don't ask the patient to come in. She would never have me to come into her office. I honestly don't think she cares. Listening and being nice alone does not make you a good Doctor. A good doctor is one who cares for the patient and wants to help. She didn't help me.

Dr Ruhe is wonderful. Now her office manager Larry is horrible,rude, and don't care about anybody. I have never experienced somebody so rude to talk to on the e phone till him. I remember my first time making a appointment he would not let me make a appointment without a credit card on file. Then after that he always question my insurance company I'm so sick of calling my ins company to ask questions for things he knows nothing about. He is horrible and doesn't speak clearly at all!!
