I encountered friendly, caring, professional staff from start to finish. As a new patient, I found the registration was prompt and easy. I’m very pleased to have Dr. Heersink as my new PCP. I appreciated his patience and thoroughness in addressing my concerns and making referrals. And very important to me, he is very friendly and easy to talk to. I originally gave Ochsner Health System a poor review due to the denial of medical servicess because of my low quality health insurance. Ochsner Health reached out to me and I am glad they did. I came in as a new patient and I felt very comfortable. It was easy to make the appointment and I had a virtual visit the next day. Sonya Coleman was the PA and she was wonderful!

I have been x-ray and MRI to death. I strained my back muscles limping on a sprained ankle and was given a muscle relaxer that caused severe side effects. I asked for another and was told not until another MRI 2 weeks later. When the pain had me jumping out of my skin I called and begged! Now I am told no treatment until July when I establish a new primary! They got paid by my insurance and couldn’t care less what happens to me! Don’t walk from Ochsner. Everyone was so nice and they explained all the procedure and what the medication did and what I need to do and what I might expect everything was nice ☺️

Need to have more medical personnel focused on senior health and wellness. Be bold! Don’t let traditional and out-dates ideas of how people should age and promote fitness and wellness and not just treatment of ailments
