University Medical Center New Orleans's Online Review Report Card

Been in er over 24 hours and never getting called in the back.They kept saying that there is 6 more people ahead of me since yesterday evening .How is this possible unless their not calling anyone or doing anything to the ones already in the back.Now the er is even more packed n patients sleeping everywhere and getting woke up!! Very sad !

The waiting time is ridiculous. Be prepared to sit for 5+ hours.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to! I’ve also had multiple friends and family who’ve had a similar experience. I was literally mistreated by the techs and nurses. Don’t come here! They do not care about you or your health, just the bill they are going to send you in the mail.

Staff are very patient and soothing both verbally and with nonverbal gestures

Do not go here, the emergency department will not see you unless you’ve been shot. Even then think twice.

Ridiculous wait at the patient laboratory today just to submit Sample over 1 hr.Many patients frustrated and angry. I hope management sees this and do better, patients going through so much already.

I dropped my mother off at the ER at 8 am this morning she still hasn’t been seen at 5pm. Other people in the ER are stating they’ve been there since the night before and have yet to be seen. This place is a billion dollar dump!!! Not to mention the parking is ridiculous and lack of signs will leave you walking around the hospital. I guess they are going for the drop dead outside method.UPDATE: went to Ochsner main campus ER was seen in 1 hour and admitted in 3 hours. Turns out she has Pancreatic Cancer!!!!!! LSU You have failed the community!!!

Very rude staff

This hospital saved my son's life. But everything since has been horrible. The don't communicate with the family even if the patient is unable to communicate himself. Depending on which doctor you get to talk to depends on what answers you get. They are usually different from the previous doctor. I have asked for neurology every day in beginning due to my son's brain damage and have only talked to them twiceinalmost 10 weeks. I have called and complained to patient concern lines and was told someone would call back but 2 weeks later still no call. Most of the support staff is great but find somewhere else to go if you have options. I will not be back if I have a say.

If i could give his hospital zero stars i would this has to be the worst hospital in all louisiana, i went in woth abdominal pain waited 6 hours to be seen in excruciating pain and never got called i left to tulane where i was attended immediately turns out i had a infected appendix i swear im looking for all ways possible to sue this hospital for neglect.
