Not impressed. The good doctor made my husband and I feel like we were bothering him. He brushed my husband’s condition off as though it were a common cold. We were referred to him from another doctor’s office because my husband’s doctor felt that he needed to be seen by a surgeon. Werner told us that my husband’s condition would simply disappear and that he MIGHT be able to return to work by FRIDAY! Today is Monday…SERIOUSLY!!?? Here’s a prescription for some cream and I’ll see you again in two weeks. He obviously noticed my disbelief at his horrible bedside manner and tried to reassure me three times that my husband was going to be ok.

Dr. Werner and his staff were wonderful. They were very informative about the pre-colonoscopy details, and the procedure went off without a hitch. He was a great doctor and spent a significant amount of time to explain the results and what I needed to do to remain healthy. I highly recommend!

I would recommend Dr. Werner and I have recommended him to my family and friends because he's been there from day one of my cancer journey when he was contacted by my Radiologist. He takes his time with you and makes sure that you are ok or do you have any questions and he doesn't rush his patients into surgery, he makes sure that they need the procedures before he schedules them to be performed. He's been a blessing to me, my family, and friends as well.

Great for my husband and me. What is “growing area” referring to comments from a patient?

Dr. Werner had the difficult task of doing my emergency colon surgery in 2017. This was on a Saturday morning by the way. He greeted me with a big smile and said I was a trooper. He did a great job. He's a straight shooter and will tell you the cancer can come back, which it did, three times. That upset me but in the end he was right. He is highly capable if your condition is workable, mine was barely. Thank you Dr. Werner!!

Doctor Werner is such a compassionate doctor and makes you feel like you're the only patient he has. He acts swiftly and is sooo kind....far superior to many!!! I am so thankful we have been fortunate enough that God put my son and I in the right hands!!! Do not hesitate to put him at the top of your list when deciding on a top notch man all the way around!!! He's a class act and we're blessed to have him!!!😊💕

With every follow-up visit, Dr. Werner has consistently shown my husband (and myself) the utmost in professionalism and compassionate treatment. My husband was extremely anxious about having extensive surgery; Dr. Werner did an excellent job not only with the surgery, but in making every effort to calm and reassure, especially during the difficult recovery period. Later on he did not hesitate to agree to stand in with my husband's prostate surgeon to observe and advise during that surgery so the j-pouch created during the previous colo-rectal surgery would not be damaged. He and his staff receive our highest rating.

I had struggled with constipation all my life. I was referred to Dr. Werner. Testing showed that my colon did not contract or basically work. We discussed removing nearly all of my colon. It sounded very scary, but I trusted him and had the surgery two years ago. My life has changed for the better. I haven't had to take any medication not even one time to help me "go". I am so grateful for Dr. Werner and his associates. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

This guy is a joke! He’s rude and unprofessional. He botched my surgery, and then shoved me off to another doctor to repair. It was only AFTER he operated on me that I found out he has the HIGHEST complications with patients. I also overheard him complaining about me as a patient to others. That’s not ok! Why does he still have a license?????!!!!

Dr. Werner was assigned to me when I was admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis for a perforated colon from diverticulitis. His treatment allowed me to leave the hospital 10 days later without having had a colostomy or even surgery! He was intelligent and explained everything and answered my questions in a language that wasn't foreign to me as a lay person. He also has a great sense of humor. He remained my doctor over the next two years as diverticulitis continued to reoccur. He suggested surgery after several episodes and two complicated hospitalizations. The surgery was a complete success and I recommend Dr. Werner to everyone who needs such a specialist. He's the greatest!
