Before you leave anyone in the care of this doctor Eckholdt please please do your research on him. My Mother was put in the care of this man and he let her die because he didn't care enough about her or her health to do his job. So please think before you choose Eckholdt.

My family member had a aortic tear with other complications with a 5% survival rate. Dr. Eckholdt did the emergency surgery. It was very successful and the family member had a complete recovery. Dr. Eckholdt besides being an excellent surgeon seems compassionate and caring.

Very brief encounter....poor explanation of my condition.....did not go over test results....seemed disinterested.....said " call if your condition bothers you" which I feel is equivalent to " take two aspirins & call me in the morning" Not so hot !!

Through the Grace of God and Dr. Eckholdt performing emergency heart surgery on my daughter back in 2003 while she was a junior in high school and was involved in a horrible car accident in which she sustained several life threatening injuries, she pulled through and totally recovered. This life changing experience is what led her to become an RN. Our family will forever be grateful to him and the almighty father for her second chance at life. He was the most honest and caring Dr. I had ever met

During our most stressful time of our loved one needing to have a triple bypass, Dr Echoldt's made this difficult time bearable. He, along with his staff as well as the hospital staff at NOMC left our family forever greatful. Dr. Echoldt's is a great doctor, very patient oriented and answers questions to the satisfaction of patient and family, it is with ease that I would confidently recommend him without hesitation.
